All I can say is that we are working on the next update! Can't reveal what it will be or when it will be out, but we are working on it.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Nick!

Good news! I'm confident SC has something more exciting than a new fruit tree.
Trees & bushes can hardly be considered an update as they bring no challenge or excitement to the game!

Although I love my hood mates, I am happiest when just doing my own thing in an almost sandbox environment.
I think the request for trees/bushes, new flavors for existing products come mainly from noobs.
As previously discussed, to meet demand, most of us require a feeder farm, 24/7 use of Tom, max slots on 90% of machines.
I am more than curious how level 200+ manage to complete orders. I haven't reached that level yet & my orders are massive as well as complex. 13 Apple jams, 9 cherry jams, 60 of this, that & something else.
I know SC is more than pleased we need multiple farms as player count is upped, revenue increases, etc., but it requires too much time, for most.
Like you, I'd be pleased to see something along the concept of the town or derby but only if it doesn't require me to be involved with others. Language barriers & time zone issues present enough problems. Then throw in people that "game" completely opposite. For those of us purchasing diamonds, we need to exercise caution. If we use Tom to get feathers & fill a help crate with feathers, we've essentially "paid" to help someone. Previously, in my hood, I would have a person ask me "please use your diamonds to make me 8 jelly beans, or..." Right, I don't even know you & i'm going to "pay" so you might advance faster. Crazy.
Filling boat crates is about as far as I want my involvement with other farms to be.

Hope your new farm is coming along nicely!

    What the...
Seriously? You'd think 'use your diamonds to make me stuff' would be against *everyone's* hood morality

Thanks. My new farm is coming along nicely I am about to level up to 24 so will be able to open the mine soon. I will be slowing down now as I don't want it to get too advanced as I mostly want the simple products to supplement my main farm at least until I get to level 100.

You must be a serious player if you try to fill all orders. Although I hire Tom on a full time basis, I only work aspects of the farm I like and at a speed that is comfortable for me, even if that means that I send away unreasonable requests from townies and trash 90 percent of truck orders. I don't let the game dictate the pace and don't feel any obligation to work hard toward global goals. If there is a global event for special decor that I want I will work a little harder but most definitely ignore them if the prize is only diamonds, only reaching the minimum goal post if that.

I use diamonds only for Tom and machine slots. On the weeks that I opt into the derby I would never take the boat tasks as I am not prepared to use diamonds to speed up boats and will only occasionally take an extra task if I see my team is falling too far behind, which rarely happens as my hood mates do use diamonds for the derby. I have never purchased diamonds and have no intention of doing so for either farm. I find that I have enough product to feed my townies and help my hood mates, friends and followers by hiring Tom using diamonds I find in the course of farming.

Although I would not mind a few new products for some of the machines, I agree that new trees/plants is just more of the same and would like to see something completely different. Because I don't spend real money on the game, I try not to complain too much but I know that free players also serve a purpose.

    Happy farming

I voted for getting bored. An update please. Anything NOT derby related, pretty please I'm already moving on to another game, spending most my time there. I usually check my farm once an hour or so but recently I only open HD 3-4 times a day

I am happy the way stuff is going. I know the team is working on some updates as mentioned in the Reddit chat so I'm saving diamonds and coins for this.

I'm happy with the way it is (though I would like two new bunnies, preferably black ) but I'm not a super active player & I don't really play often enough or long enough to get bored. When a massive update comes out like the town or the Derby it takes me ages to get up to speed with it and it throws my playing style off kilter. I do always eventually get caught up and adapt though so I'm sure I'll cope with whatever is coming

I really really really hope it is aimed at medium - higher levels though, I think lower levels (50 and below) have enough to cope with as it is & are already overwhelmed. I always seem to attract lower level followers which is great as I try & help them out & they sell dairy, sugar and BEMS but I've noticed that very few of them keep playing past level 40, I think it all just gets too much for them.

Saving diamonds and coins for this? Should I start watching my coinage amounts again too? Or is this something you're doing just in case??
