In my experience, there are updates and there are UPDATES! My statistical sample is smaller than that of the long-time farmers since I've been playing for under 2 years. However, I've gotten the impression that SC comes out with an UPDATE each spring and fall. That is when I have noticed major new features being introduced. For example, in the fall 2014 UPDAATE we got the bees, honey tree, honey extractor and some products for existing machines that utilized the honey. In later "updates" (lower case) we got the beeswax and candlemaker. In spring 2015, we got the Derby. So, it seems like major innovations like town, neighborhoods, the Derby, the bees, the ducks, etc. come along about twice a year. At other times, like when there are updates for seasonal changes we get new products, decos, maybe a new machine or shop in town. All these are "one more" of some existing feature in the game. There are always a number of those included during UPDATES as well as the major new feature.

All that being said...
Since spring is around the corner, I am really looking forward to what I hope will be an UPDATE!

I would love an update, but only if it's something really different (amusement park up on the hill for example, with mini games to earn vouchers, diamonds etc). I don't want 'an update' if it's just more of the same (another building/product/tree).

We have definitely had updates. I would like to see something new in the next update that isn't derby-related, and if it is, then I want to be wowed lol. However, I am happy with the content they give us, just would like to see a new tree/bush, crop or food item to change things up a bit on the farming aspect.

I'm going to disagree. Are you maxed out on all machines, bldgs, etc?
A "bush" does absolutely nothing for the game. Low level farms have a lot to work towards!
Once you are 125 level, or so, fully maxed, you will see.

I would, however, love to see an update of almost any kind that does not involve the derby, which I hate almost with a passion, and that doesn't require undue involvement with other players. Although I love my hood mates, I am happiest when just doing my own thing in an almost sandbox environment.

🙋🏻 ⬅️ bored. I voted bored with no updates. An update (even a new product) at this point would be great. Anything. Anything at all that is not derby/horse related. SC has bent over backwards to stick this derby to every aspect of my game. I like the derby. It's ok in its own right. But give it a rest and move on please. Tyvm

Come on SC listen to us give us a big update surprise that is not related to the Derby ~ machines, new crops, products, animals and more land please please please. Life on the farm is getting boring for the higher level players ~ listen or you will lose us🙁

... No updates AT ALL? But I got a Derby last year, and new decos, and leagues, and the year before that we got a whole town, and when was all that new land? Seems like updates to me.

That said, I am hoping Spring will bring a big exciting update.

I voted that I was happy with HD the way it is. I agree with what Pitchfork said.

I am really hoping for a farm update. I don't really play the town much but prefer a town update to a derby update.
