I just want to offer a bit of advice.. If you're not going for the captain achievement (and if you are, you need to go to the captain thread also), send away sugar boats. We all value our sugar as its used in almost all of the items we make and it gets used up very quickly! More than likely your crates will not be filled.

How do u send the boat away without filling it?

As long as you haven't filled any of the crates or asked for help on any of the crates, you can just hit the ship button on the bottom right corner, the same one that you click to send a boat off. But, if you have filled even one crate or asked for help on one crate, you will not be able to send the boat off unless its filled or if the timer has run out.

Its not fair that so much sugar is required to fill a boat. If you've mastered your machine, it's "somewhat" easier to make it, but still not guaranteed to have all of the sugar the boat asks for. It's also not worth the reward as it is very little.
