Finish walls first. Loot only gets harder later on.
Free Advice: Don't upgrade your TH until everything else is maxed out - research, walls, buildings, everything.
Level 80 Elder of Clan OCHERPUNITY - Level 8 Town Hall - League ranges from Silver II to Gold II, where the farming is fine!

    Go TH9!

upgrade to th9 and have some fun! unless you prefer grinding gold for the next 10 to 30 days (depending on your raiding frequency) for lvl8 walls that are not even that useful (2 lvl5 wb will do the job just like lvl7 walls) and have all your builders sleeping during that time.

I am maxed out th8 with a third of lvl 8 walls done and i am moving to th9. it is the first time i upgrade th before maxing out walls but lvl8 Wall farming is just too boring for me for what it is worth defensewise. i would rather start playing with a couple x-bows and the AQ.

You're not that far off on the walls. Queue up TH9, farm like hell for a few days while TH is upgrading, and finish the rest at TH9. Loot is harder at TH9, but it's not THAT bad.

Upgrade...The only walls that matter are the perpendicular walls...the parallel walls don't have to be maxed.

Last thing you want is to have idle builders btw.
