    Balloons

    when using balloons, am i supposed to

    1) release all 15 balloons at once
    2) release the balloons across a line creating tidal wave of balloons
    3) release just 5-6 balloons aiming for one air defense, then release another 5-6 at a second target and so on

    Balloons is a very hard Unit to Master

    Dont use ballons only! You need to pair em up with some wizards, dragons, minions, archers or healers
    1. Balloon-dragon stretegy: use 1-2 dragons to take out the air defenses, while the air defense are having a fun time shoting dragons down, deploy some balloons to take out defenses the dragons should by the time have destroyed the air defense and use em now as tanks and Meat shields you might wanna deploy something else to help destroying the last bit of the base(archers or minions)
    2. Balloon-wizard-healer strategy: deploy wizards first to take non-defensive buildings and air defense then deploy the healer to support them and lastly use balloons
    3. Balloons and minions strategy: probally the best one, use the minions to lure the troops in the clan castle and take out most buildings(the air defense is going to have fun while taking all those minions down) and while minions take all of the defenses attention deploy ur ballons

    That;s close to what I do when using just balloons. If you can take out AD quickly you've about halved the anti-air dps of a base, then very few balloons can handle what's left.

    12 ballons with 80 minions, i prefer to deploy the 12 ballons in a line with a rage and then send the minions right behind.

    Get some backup!

    Get some backup! Get some archers and minions to clear out air bombs (minions) and take out air defense (outside air defenses) and maybe wizard towers. Then get some wizards to take out pesky cannons/archers then release balloons to head for wizard towers and remaining air defenses and archer towers. Number 3 is the best techinqiue btw.

    number three then number 2. <--- lol and also its good to have some troops to take care of archer queen (VERY ANNOYING if you only have balloons) and clan castle troops (wizards and drags will completely destroy your balloon army)

    Balloons rock - for defence

    Best clan castle against ground attack is six max balloons - 972 damage ps and 3200 hp - kills a king really fast

    I rarely use 100% balloons as they cannot defend themselves particularly well against archers, i'd suggest 95% balloons, 5% minions and use the cc if you need to. If you want to be super cautious then lightning for the CC archers.

    Deploy the calloons in groups of 5-6 against the air defences - once they are gone you have a VERY good chance of a win.

    If the base is worth it then rage really helps speed up the balloons.

    Daddy you wrote 'Calloons' instead of 'Balloons'.

    You should drop 4-5 for each Air Defence and Drop 1 and then 3 behind it for a Wizard Tower.

    I have using balloons/minion combo as my regular farming army AND as my cup hunt army (composition remains the same).

    To start off with unless you have L6 balloons then quite frankly I would not use balloons at all. Anything less then L6 is just too weak. L5 has 390hp vs. L6 has 545.

    Secondly, you need to pick your base wisely. I generally avoid bases that has well upgraded AD that is placed closer to the center. Balloons are very slow. They target defenses first. So by the time they clear the first few defenses they are probably close to end of life and you.

    I carry 12 Balloons, 20 archers, 70 minions. Archers to lure CC, AQ and clear buildings. The more buildings you clear outside the wall the better. Minions are flying barbs with gob speed, so they can go all over the place. Clearing buildings will guide them better. I like deploying all my balloons targeting the same target at once. I find them work better as a group then by themselves. Once the AD/Tesla/AT are attracted by Balloons (at this point you should be able set off some air bombs already). Send minions in behind the balloons. Essentially Balloons are your meat shield and minions are your workhorse.

    This strategy has been working fairly well for me in both farming at 2k and cup hunting up to 2550 using the same composition. A well place Air bomb can ruin your day so spread out the minions. and of course, if the target (base) is worth it, rage is your best friend. A raged balloon can do wonders
