Although I agree that some adjustments needed to be made after the big update, I don't agree, at all, with the hundreds of cry-babies whining their butts off, flaming on the forums, facebook, youtube, twitter, yadda yadda.
First off, I'm calling ♥♥ on all the whiners that take the time to visit the forums, and rant, saying that "I will now quit, are you happy SC? Are you happy??!!" and such. For two reasons:
1) It's a great game, and despite the period of silence we had to endure (which they have acknowledged and apologised for), the staff has always proven to be extremely competent and dedicated to improving the game, with no exception.
2) I once heard from a doctor friend of mine that in the ER, when the patients come in bad shape, the ones that are silent are usually the ones that need to be tended to first. The screaming ones can wait. If they're well enough to scream, they aren't dying yet. I know, drastic (joke all you want, it's true). But seems to fit this scenario pretty well. If you care enough to stick around and complain all the time, everywhere, over and over, till my eyes bleed from seeing all the ♥♥ comments, then you're probably not quitting just yet.
I've also been seeing a lot of people blabbing on about "SC only cares about the money", "the game is now P2W" etc. This is also a load of bull. Nowhere do I see any indication that the changes brought by this update force people to buy more gems, gem everything, keep permanent boosts or whatever. Sure, there needed to be some adjustments, but they are clearly coming.
As for the hypocrits who flame on about SC's greed and then post business advice saying that "if you wanna profit, you need to do exactly what your customers want!!", I would argue that you simply do not even know what you want. Why?
Well, I don't think anyone here actually enjoyed sniping town halls. They enjoyed the benefits that came from sniping/being sniped. If SC is bold enough to try to find a way to guarantee those benefits (granted they may come in different ways) while having you reap them during enjoyable gameplay (farming with an actual army vs. popping one archer in the corner of the map twenty times a day).
The changes they've announced sound great! I know there are still some issues to work out, but I've no doubt that they will be fixed shortly. Hold on to your panties, people.
