Yanno, I'm part of the "skill problem."
I also gem.
And I'm still playing post-Update.
I would love to disagree with your points, but I don't. I kind of disagree with the way you present your ideas, but it's your internet too. Do your thing. Where would forums be without the heady whiff of ...whatever that is. Anyhow, yes, there is a lack of skilled players on the Game. They used to be Champs & above, and one could spot them easily.
One thing I do disagree with you on is that there was/is an inherent "problem" to be "addressed" by having less skilled players able to have an enjoyable gaming experience. I am opposed to this notion. The Game already rewards the more skilled with League. Now that everyone and their dog is milking with gobs in silver, league is even MORE meaningless. To see a player's skill level now, you have to see their highest cups. And Legends? Staring at clouds for literally HOURS? You have to be kidding me. Those poor people. The most skilled among us... rewarded thusly.
Yes, the Game now actually DOES encourage skill gain in both offense and defense. I am still playing because I believe, deep down, that getting the TH's in is the right thing to do in order to extend the lifespan of this Game.
Phone screens are not getting THAT much bigger. TH11 required the addition of new space on the grid as it is. SC -had- to slow the grind, or else the Game would have no ability to grow and live.
I have played a Game through its lifespan once. I want my time on Clash to be as rewarding, and as lengthy as possible. I want the time to GAIN the skill.
I am sick of people on the forums acting like I should already have it. SC just gave me the gift of time to develop, and gave itself the same. So, I won't always be part of the "skill problem", but I hope there are people who ARE... for years to come. I hope people get to enjoy Clash. It still is a Great Game. It is great, because it is HARD. So just let people be bad at it in peace. It's hard, you're good, we get it. Now I'm gonna go try for 60% on something.

It has come to my attention that certain people don't react well to neutral opinions that aren't sugarcoated, and as an effort to avoid wasting forum space to deal with these individuals, my posts may be more caring and understanding than my real thoughts.

I am trying really hard to stay positive and while I do appreciate that something is being brought to the table, this seems entirely too complicated. I know I don't know how it works at this point but good grief.. Loot carts treasury star bonuses.. This "very small %" you speak of could mean entirely different things to anyone.. Why not just make it a safe place for keeping a portion of your loot? Also figuring out how to get your loot into said treasury sounds convoluted.. Why is it war loot goes in there and some % of losses sustained? What about a % of our raid loot? I am starting to confuse myself.. This loot cart, is it going to be yet another structure to try and defend? I think we all have enough to defend now and I am not interested in something else to spread my defenses thinner. Kudos on trying to do something though.. Just don't understand why it has to come to all this.
Well I did Congratulate them on making an Awesome game by writing a good review and five stars on playstore. I would wait now, till things get any semblance of order. I like a few changes for sure but changing the meta of the game has made me cautious to instant back slapping and instant criticism. Let's see how the dice rolls.
Anyone else notice how this game is turning into boom beach? So they decided to bring the "vault" to clash. What is next the shock canon?
I still think the last update was a mistake and changed the game away from what most people liked in the game.
You are absolutely right. Finding loot is not the problem, keeping it is. This is exactly what I have been saying since he update. The changes introduced last time such as turning the TH into a loot store and incremental loot bonus means attackers are raiding with much more powerful armies. Supercell don't have the guts admit that they got it wrong. Instead of fixing their mistake by reversing the relevant changes, they have opted to put a band aid on the game.
5 star system
You shall raid 5 times, and cook an army capable of getting at least 30% to get a star. Every day.
Loot crate
You must lose much loot to get crate.
Treasury
I thought all loot was precious.
