Upgrading barracks and dark barracks?

At what th lvl would be nice to have it maxed barracks and dark barracks?

I have th7 defenses and attacked by pekka. 2nd time actually, first time was much more pathetic. The pekka died half way around the base from the release point, still merrily circling the base and getting chopped up by cannons. 2nd time they actually made it inside the base.

Maxing out your DE barracks does not effect your training time since you wont be producing that many DE troops. However, upgrading your regular barracks will slow down your training time by 25%. However, having them all maxed is a good idea. Some will suggest you don't need lots of pekkas so one max barrack will do. But I prefer to have them all maxed. Sure it was frustrating while they upgraded but I did it at TH8 so it was not much of an issue. You'll be happy once they are done.

Many people think that releasing a Pekka means an instant win but they often neglect to understand their AI. You have to build a path for the Pekka to travel. Otherwise they can be a huge waste of time and resources.

depends on what troops do you usually use and your army camp level

if you only use barb, arch, gobl, giant, wb and have 4 lvl 6 army camp (capacity : 200) then 4 lvl 7 barracks (capacity :50) will do just fine (lvl 8 if you use healer sometimes)

better used your elixirs and builders for other upgrade

At some point in the game, you'll have too much elixir and wont know what to do with it. I am currently in that phase, I have maxed out my elixir upgrades like Dark Elixir Drill, Dark Elixir Storage, etc. And my lab is doing 10 day upgrades. At this time, you'll find that you have nothing but Barracks and Dark Barracks to upgrade. But personally, I am getting three of them to 9 and one is already on 10. One Dark Barrack is already maxed and the other is level 1 even though I don't use Dark Troops much.

I have 0 elixir building upgrades left only thing I can spend elixir on is army and lab. And the only stuff left to upgrade in the lab and the only lab upgrades that cost elixir I have left are the healer, pekka level 3, heal spell, level 5 lighting and level 4 rage spell

Yeah, Barracks are a great way to spend Elixir when you're maxed, it can also be useful to extend your time at TH8 while farming the walls.

I'm upgrading my last normal barracks to pekka during my TH9 upgrade. Both Darks are maxed also.
