Guys, this is probably a very small issue with one or two players but it's up to each individual to demonstrate that forum members represent that decent majority. People on global will be looking up to those taking part in this event and if you choose to chat on global and accept visitors then you treat them with respect and behave like adults or you reflect poorly on all of us.
The organisers have worked hard to make this a success and many players have been looking forward to the experience so play nice or I will find your base and unleash the King of Fawar..... unless you happen to have Medusa's head in your back pocket this won't end well....for you.

I have a query.

According to the rules, theres 1 point for every NEW star.

Yet due to a Clashcaller system, most bases get reserved within a couple of hours. As a result, bases that can be 1 or 2-starred, are already done so. And those who are left are forced for a three star attempt to literally get any points.

Not that it's bad at all. In a normal warring clan, going for 3 stars after a 2 star attack is an excellent strategy. But, in these circumstances, not many of us are excellent warrers, to be frank. And three star attacks have a high chance of failure. Going for three stars, when each of your attacks is counted up for points, is highly risky.

So, my question is, how on earth am i supposed to get any points? I'm not good in wars, i know i won't be able to 3 star, despite my best attempts, and despite the fact that I'll still try. Is there any help for that, or am i just supposed to swing it or something?

I am not in this for the stars I am in to enjoy the event but Ali has a point to be fair. I have given my call away because the alternative was for someone to have to attack a guy 30 levels higher than him. Too late for first war but in the interest of fairness isn't it worth doing opposites for second war? May not be the best strat for war win but then who cares if the real competition is between everybody on the event?

Neither me holps. I care only about fun & being with forumers in one event same as forum elite although I don't like pushing I did enjoy it. Now I like wars & warring with you guys is my only point

I agree also - new stars really favours anyone rushing in and attacking early/first. And attacking unduly low.

On a similar note, I've mentioned before the defence points seem just as silly. There's no credit for number of attempts the enemy uses; nor when they need to use a higher TH to bully. Woody has defended (ie not 3*ed) 4 or 5 times, and counting. But he'll be 3*ed eventually for -3 points. Me, they scouted with a TH8 and then just dropped a strong TH10 on me. But we all get -3, along with the TH9s who were 3*ed first attempt by enemy TH9s.

I'm not especially fussed about the points, but there is a conflict here between what's good for the war effort and what scores most points, and it's causing some friction - and one rage-quit.

There should be bonus points for no new stars added something along them lines , same as if someone gets bugs'ed, there shouldn't be punishment of minus points.

Holps, there was a little more to it than just that, but on that note we can't allow everyone in and to stay from global as I know we would have been full three times over. So unfortunately if they are not part of the event they need to be kicked.

No word of a start time in the first 5 posts of this thread though. I dont know where you expect us to grab our information, but this is what I've been working with for over a month waiting for this event to start (from post 3 in this thread):

THE CONFIRMED DATE FOR NOW IS THE MIDDLE OF FEB 2016.
Schedule:
opening and arrival day sunday 14th
first war search monday 15th
four wars each new search starting 3h after previous war ends (no left behinds, we will fill up with ALTs or from global)
say good-bye on 23rd/24th
clan closes 25th

I was waiting for the reminder pm but never got. Could not figure out the 2nd clan tag either.

So if a base is 1* or 2*d and someone cleans it up for 3*s... How does the points work for the clean up person?

it is written as one point for every new star and bonus point for three star attack.
So if base is already 2* and a clean up is done means one more star that means one more point and if its a 3* then bonus point too rite ?

Yes that is correct, only, you are forgetting that there is an extra bonus point, if you are three starring your own TH lvl or higher.

Meaning: A TH 10 doing a cleanup on a TH9 (that has previously been 1 starred) on getting three stars will get 2 points for the 2 new stars +1 point bonus for three starring -1 point for difference in TH lvl equals 2 points

where as the same situation on a TH10 will fetch 2 points for the new stars +1 point bonus for the three stars +1 another bonus point for three starring at the own TH lvl equalling 4 points.

Example: I failed my clean up on a TH9, only 90%, boohoo :'(
That counted 1 point for 1 new star and -1 point for 1 TH lvl lower than mine making for a grand total of 0 points for my second *sniffs*

My experience is that if you try too hard to go for three, you are more likely to fail than you are likely to get three stars when going for solid 2.
