I have a query.

According to the rules, theres 1 point for every NEW star.

Yet due to a Clashcaller system, most bases get reserved within a couple of hours. As a result, bases that can be 1 or 2-starred, are already done so. And those who are left are forced for a three star attempt to literally get any points.

Not that it's bad at all. In a normal warring clan, going for 3 stars after a 2 star attack is an excellent strategy. But, in these circumstances, not many of us are excellent warrers, to be frank. And three star attacks have a high chance of failure. Going for three stars, when each of your attacks is counted up for points, is highly risky.

So, my question is, how on earth am i supposed to get any points? I'm not good in wars, i know i won't be able to 3 star, despite my best attempts, and despite the fact that I'll still try. Is there any help for that, or am i just supposed to swing it or something?

I agree also - new stars really favours anyone rushing in and attacking early/first. And attacking unduly low.

On a similar note, I've mentioned before the defence points seem just as silly. There's no credit for number of attempts the enemy uses; nor when they need to use a higher TH to bully. Woody has defended (ie not 3*ed) 4 or 5 times, and counting. But he'll be 3*ed eventually for -3 points. Me, they scouted with a TH8 and then just dropped a strong TH10 on me. But we all get -3, along with the TH9s who were 3*ed first attempt by enemy TH9s.

I'm not especially fussed about the points, but there is a conflict here between what's good for the war effort and what scores most points, and it's causing some friction - and one rage-quit.

On the points: That is the reason, that we allow only one attack each within the first 8 hours of Battleday....to give everyone a chance to attack a previously untouched base for full points. Going in for second attacks allows a player to watch a replay and get a better idea what might work and what might not be so good and will know whats in the CC....all in all it squares out because (see my post above) a second attack for three stars of which 2 are new stars fetches 4 points on your own TH lvl and 3 points if there's only 1 new star.....three stars win wars and this competition (apart of meant to be for fun ) will crown the best attacker over the period of 4 wars.

As to defences: We do want ppl to try to make their defence work. Because keeping the other team from three starring will tip the scales to your advantage. Hence the points for successfull defences and the minus points for stars lost (yielding only two stars will save you 1 point).
A successful defence is only one that looses no stars at all. A defence surrendering only 1 star but no new star neither counts towards the seccessful defence wins nor does it add to the minus points.

I have run a few different scoring systems through the data collected from last year and found the system pretty well balanced. I did however change the points for a sucessfull defence (these used to be 2 points per defencive win, are no only 1 point each).
It is a fair system, you'll have to trust me on this.

..as I said before, I am sorry for any inconvenience posed !! Please join any of the two clans for now there is still room and all who signed up are heartily welcome to join ! You might not even be at a disadvantage on missing the first war.

A clan once chosen might not stay your clan. As we will try to get matched against each other, we need to get each player's war weight and then re-shuffle the clans accordingly to raise the chances of being matched. Saleh kindly accepted the honours for this task and our stats recorders have worked hard to collect all the data and make it available for Saleh to do his calculations. Please therefor heed Saleh's petitions for moving to the other clan and please be ready to do that, in time before the next war search starts.

Also every war search will start three hours later then the previous, in order to keep the time frame of a war shifting throughout the event. This way different time zones will make for different advantage/disadvantage every war.

That's why 2 players joined without requesting and got kicked immediately after with lols coming from the players that kicked them? And that's just what I saw. Then someone request with a generic "I'd like to join your clan." message and someone says "accept and kick lol"

Z without being funny hermis joined not so long back with the generic message we don't know if these account are alts, therefore yes I said let in and kick if necessary obviously. Dude you are being way toooooo serious. I have a lot of respect for the things you said and backed it up after you left. But seriously crying because a chancer from global got kicked? Lighten up my friend.

Guys, this is probably a very small issue with one or two players but it's up to each individual to demonstrate that forum members represent that decent majority. People on global will be looking up to those taking part in this event and if you choose to chat on global and accept visitors then you treat them with respect and behave like adults or you reflect poorly on all of us.
The organisers have worked hard to make this a success and many players have been looking forward to the experience so play nice or I will find your base and unleash the King of Fawar..... unless you happen to have Medusa's head in your back pocket this won't end well....for you.

Holps, there was a little more to it than just that, but on that note we can't allow everyone in and to stay from global as I know we would have been full three times over. So unfortunately if they are not part of the event they need to be kicked.

I wasnt referring to that Woody as I wasn't there mate but there has been some silly stuff I won't publicise..Storm in a teacup no doubt and we move on and up..👍

Great win in the first war for FE1...Smashed them into small pieces then smashed the small pieces into crumbs then ground the crumbs into powder..not bad for a Level 1 clan.....well done guys, great team effort.
