I will HAPPILY say that. I love, absolutely LOVE, the removal of sniping. It has made the game far more entertaining and engaging to me. Opening up the app in the morning to see if you got rolled overnight for all your loot, or fended off a minimal attack with very little loot lost is actually quite fun. Seeing a good defense exhibits the same feeling as finding that 400k/400k/1200DE dead base that you can barch raid (because the net effect on your loot accumulation is exactly the same).

That being said, the update made the economy a bit tighter. But Supercell has already stated, several times in fact, that they are looking at loot and the economy. If they balance those things out, and get the economy to a place such that progression for many is on par with what it was pre-update, the game will be FAR better off for it. Of course this is my opinion, but it will be very hard to convince me that sniping was "fun" and made for a good strategy game.

Edited to add: Like Nio below me, on a personal level I am doing very well loot-wise post update. But realize many people out there are not, or I'm at least willing to believe them when they say they are struggling. And so SC will have to do something about this. I, of course, welcome this, because as I've seen my own progression stay essentially the same as pre-update, I'm psyched for more loot in the economy cause I'll move along even faster than I was pre-update. I don't need the cookie, but I'm not above taking a bite if Supercell is passing them around basically

if people prefer the hard grind then shouldn't there be a higher difficulty setting that people could select - the 'true chief' option for example.
The problem is your seeing this from a simple perspective

Not everyone has less loot available. Not everyone is working harder for that loot.

I was a lazy push farmer.

What that means was previous to the update I would log in raid, log off and hope for a shield, log in and raid. I was using moderate-strong armies to hit for high loot totals.

Now I am not saying I was competitive to a dead base farmer but I enjoyed the challenge

Update came and sure I have to defend myself now but I can attack 2-3 before my shield dries up. I am finding good loot in Champs and because of the changes to pushing I was able to farm up to Champs I - and since I am capable of getting 70% even with a Th10 army on a Th11 base - I get more loot.

    Thus I am happy.

I am not discrediting people who are unhappy, but their are reasons why their are people who are pro-update

The bases I see now have much more loot than pre-update. Much more.
I am getting loot faster now than before. With the boosted collectors I am filling up my storages extremely fast.

People both love and hate the update because of these magical things called differing opinions. I personally am pro-update, as I believe the mechanic changes are for the better (as soon as the economy gets fixed, which they are working on).

At least you have recognized not all benefit from the update.

Where we diverge is a matter of magnitude. I think the number of disaffected and disgruntled is large enough to tank the game. I'm assuming you don't?

Also why do you put so many lines between thoughts Nio?

Try your hardest to understand the situation globally.

Except that the "mechanic changes" are precisely what destroyed the game. To change them is to make an entirely different mechanic.

I put forward a simple perspective to try to get different opinions and it seems to have worked.

You used to be a lazy farmer so does that mean that you need to work harder for your loot now?

Leaving aside the social aspect, as I see it the game is all about the economy - we get loot to make our bases better.

So you are pro-update as long as they fix the economy seems a strange point of view - the update has broken the economy. I don't think anybody would be anti-update if the economy was the same or better.

Nothing is ever 100% good, nor is anything 100% awful.

The new PBT is a better system than it used to be, especially when it comes to war.

The new shield system, while it had good intentions, had some unpleasant side effects, which SC is working on. I personally like that the building that should have been most important from day 1 now is.

TH11 is an added bonus for high-level players, especially the GW.

I do think that league bonuses could use some more increase (to actually make it significant lol). My thought is making the new 80% bonus equal to the full bonus pre-update. This makes anything beyond 50% an added bonus to what we had already gotten.

I think the changes are for the better. It's simply that they get overshadowed by loot issues, which they really should be.

There would still be hate. There are people who hated on every single update SC has ever done.
