Car trouble

Car trouble.

I had to take my car to the garage the other day - manufacture call back. My car had been designed wrong for 3 years they need it back to make changes.


They gave me my car back just before Christmas but I notice some problems.


1. It only worked 4 hours a day.
2. I use to go shopping and put stuff in the boot - now when I get home half my shopping is gone. ( at the same time now this is weird - loads of shops in my area disappeared or started ruining out of stock maybe it's just Christmas)
3. My car stopped going where I wanted and started heading to the motorway all the time.


It just stopped being fun to drive so I started walking again and things looked better.


I did however keep going back to the dealer as I loved my car but it was shut and I got no reply all over the Christmas period strange , what was even stranger was all these people I don't know who said.


Stop complaining, you hater you girl , you didn't no how to drive anyway, get off the road this is our road and we love it, get a better car. Your to young to even have a licence.


Turns out .


1) we had the same car
2) I did have a valid 3 year licence like everyone else.
3) I was old enough to drive only got a recent new licence as I had been driving so long.
4) I even new how to get places .
5) I loved my old car.


I finally worked out these guys have always driven on the motorway, they love being stuck in traffic everyday and sometimes only move a few spaces. ( some of them even have drivers who do the work for them ). They don't eat much so hardly check the boot.( might explain why they are so grumpy)


They are so short sighted in fact they only see the car In front, they haven't notice all the people behind them pulling off the motorway.


There is a happy ending to this story, my garage did get back to me in the end and told me don't worry all the changes to your car are correct. ( all the shops in my area are now closed down or only open for short periods with limited stock)


Why don't you sit tight will we make some small adjustments to your radio and if I pay them some extra cash they will put a bit more shopping in my boot( they can however not stop it going missing)


I use to love that car and the freedom of driving it when I wanted and wherever it wanted, be it back roads or motorway.


I decided it's the new year so I need to get fit so.


I am on my bike.


Might check on the old car once an a while, and go to old car meets and see my mates but most of them have taken up cycling two so that's nice.

Interesting, I presume must have paid nothing for the car, fuel and other consumables and running costs but sometimes pay a premium for higher octane fuel to improve the driver experience.

Analogies are fun. Correct ?

The car was free correct but I did spend some money every month to buy furry dice etc or run faster on octane to improve the car. The most costly thing was my time the hours spend cleaning polishing and the number of shopping trips I use to have to do.
