These rants of hardcore former-farmers are in no way representing "the community"

Let's suppose anyone active on these forums is a hardcore player. Otherwise you won't spend time on creating an account. The casual player is perhaps glancing at some posts sometimes but most aren't even aware this forum exists at all. So... Hardcore clashers come in two tastes: the competative pushers (with lots of them regularly buying gems) and the wall-grinders formerly known as farmers, putting their GG and wall numbers in their signature to shine. Then the update came along:

The pushers are mostly quiet these days. Some are moaning about clouds in titan and up, but a look at the leaderboards and the huge increase of legends there should tell you most are happy with the update: they get more value for their money.

So that leaves the former-farmers on these forums. And easy farming and cheap shields on top of it are effectively removed from the game. So it's only logical everyone is crying out SC killed the game or whatever. But that's not what SC did. SC killed their game. That's not the same thing.

I think Clash of Clans has not been killed at all with this update, especially now SC has its attention on holding onto your loot in a way, which is important for the casual player. The only thing all these rants and complaints here tell me that the nice atmosphere on these forums may be killed. For the rest keep in mind it's mostly former-hardcore-farmers here...

(And now let the tearing apart begin...)

So the update made the game more enjoyable for those who spend money on it?

    Brilliant deduction.

Multiple things wrong with your post
Many players know about the forums, casual, hardcore, farmer, whatever. How? ITS ON THE LOADING SCREEN. They may just chose not to join until they see fit.
Us farmers are not mad about sniping being removed. It was a flawed concept anyways. Ask any of us, and 9/10 times you will see they agree that sniping was flawed, or they were right to remove it. Farmers are mad because it has now become PAY TO PLAY. Let me tell you from personal experiance. When a farmer starts grininding, we are on 6+ hours non-stop a day. The PBT makes us PAY to be on that long.
Loot is now at a stand still and is decreasing.

You forgot about the war community. I don't care about pushing, and I don't care about farming.

I'm one of the many that enjoyed the balance of TH9 in wars. The ability to three an equally weighted base if you planned right- and at the same time come up with a defense that could hold yours. Perfect balance. No other TH level has/had that balance. This update wrecked that.

There are a lot more types of players than simply farmers that make up this community. See- this is the thing that SuperCell seems to not be able to grasp. Or maybe they do, and just don't care. At any rate- what makes Clash such a great game, is that many different styles of players could get enjoyment from it. Many different ways to play. A diverse community.

This update didn't just affect farmers. it affected casual, progression players. And those that war. And those that push.

Ask yourself this simple question- why did SuperCell decide to leave a collector boost going after the cutoff date? Allow it to continue until further notice?

Lolz. Every single one of your points has been comprehensively trashed in the previous month. If things are so great and everyone is so happy why have Superell hit the panic button themselves?

I am saying nothing about the quality or impact of the update itself. I only indicated all the rants on these forums are to be expected because of the somewhat biased composition of the active posters here

It's actually quite true. I'm assuming you weren't being sarcastic.
