My healer, dragon, hogs, valk, witch, jump, freeze, poison, and EQ are all level 1. Goblins and haste lvl 2. As mentioned, I don't even have Pekka. I have max barch, rage, loon, lavaloon. Wiz 5, golems only lvl 3. I focused on two different army comps, barch and GoLavaLoon and haven't deviated (except for using lvl 1 drags to war at TH7 and 8).
I use barch exclusively for farming up in Champs, and was able to war every 15-20 minutes up until TH11 (now I need all heroes to be sure to hit 50% when farming as I am still adjusting to barching TH10/11 - and my king has gone down a lot the last couple of days).
My splash and point defenses are mostly Th8/9 and my teslas are only lvl 1 still, so I have been war matched almost exclusively with TH9s (although I have started my EA and am worried about that). Walls are mostly lego, with 20-30 some odd lavas, a couple magmas, and a few skulls I leave for smaller loot dumps.
The $15 I spent on gems was for 2 builders, all other gems from achievements and N&T. Everything else I've gemmed (mostly hero upgrade time for war) has been with in game gems, and I still have over 3000 remaining.
Rushed? Of course. Obsessed and successful with loot? Most definitely.
