    Mod Bashing

Does it really solve anything? The answer is no so why continue?

Please, let me put in my wisdom and opinions here before everyone gets upset...

Many people get upset when a thread they make is locked because they don't understand. (Yes, mine was locked today as well )

Truth is, if you do not know why your thread was locked just simply message the mod and they will be happy to guide you through what was wrong.

Getting upset and attacking the mods or other players will make a change, yes, but the change will be you out the door.

Also, starting a new thread is just so mundane and if the first thread was locked you can bet your kibble the next thread should be as well.

To the mod that locked a thread on me earlier: Thank you! When I messaged you- you replied quickly and was very sincere about it all.

There was no "mod abuse" or "power trip" and to be frank I have not seen that as of yet on this site.

Sometimes, at least the site I modded a thread is locked TO PREVENT trouble, as it should be.

Sometimes it is locked because there are 20,000 plus threads already made on the same subject.

It doesn't hurt to ask a mod why privately, but it does hurt YOU to put the mod on display and question them in front of everyone.

Just my thoughts... Mods, you can lock this if needed, but I hope that the members will remember to be respectful to EVERYONE.

    Keep clashing

So we should just bow to authority?

Yes their job is hard but it's voluntary. They are not above criticism

Of course. Too bad they've conflated respect with criticism

I posted this in the last thread with similar discussion

If a thread is closed or trashed with no closing statement or infraction issued, you are free to contact ANY moderator. We are in constant communication with each other (unless sleeping in their respective time zones) and can figure out any question you have.

That's where you click to find this list:

    http://forum.supercell.net/showgroups.php

You can start from the top of the list... Me... or you can select your preferred moderator of choice.

There is a reason Rule#19 exist. More often than not, users who are reprimanded will exaggerate their innocence in order to gain sympathy from the regular forumers. Regular forumers who do not have access to the wealth of information on long term behavior of such individuals, as well as behind the scene negative or additional infractions. Also remember, that just because you don't see where the infraction occurred, doesn't mean it didn't occur, as we delete posts that violate rules.

This is why we do not allow public discussion of moderator actions, as we cannot/will not discuss punitive actions with anyone other than the individual who received it.

So while you have the pleasure of a cleaner forum experience, us Moderators still get to see the nastiness that we've removed from general view.

There's always more than one story to every infraction, every ban issued. We do not take banning lightly and we issue them regardless of their intended content. As you can tell, there are plenty of negative comments on the forum. It's when you violate forum rules that we have issues with - regardless if you are pro or anti update.

If you haven't already done so, I would highly suggest you truly read the 19 forum rules.

It doesn't take long, read it and digest it before proceeding with your forum experience.
