Absolutely loved the guide, and if I was sensible I would follow it. Just one small problem- I can't stand not maxed buildings. I know, I know, it's dumb, but it's my personal pet peeve. Good guide though!

That's the only reason I cannot dispute if you prefer maxing. I just can't stand people who say they want to max because its efficient or blabbering something about loot penalty

I just reached th9 today, I definitely going to try out your build order

edit: I tried using the farming composition you recommended, but I'm not sure if 8 giants is enough to get inside the bases I'm finding now

Try 36 barbs, 80 arch, 12 giants, 12 wb, 10 minions. My TH9 is using that with great success in G1. Though I mainly aim for collector raids, try to find those instead of relying on storage raids

I will not rush as long as builders are busy.... No hurry..... But i wont sit with idle builders just for walls. How far I get in walls will depend on how much loot the beta carotine provides barching. Will waste lots of elixir regardless. My TH7 will be maxed when TH8 hits in 6 days with only dark elixir troops to train.

Really nice job on the guide. I'm about a month into th8, and am seriously considering following your guide and jumping to TH9. I was just wondering how will getting the AQ affect my war weight ? As of now, we only have 2 TH9s in our clan, and I'm pretty low down the order. I dont want to be number 3 just cause I have an AQ.

The AQ is at least half the reason why you rushed to TH9 in the first place, get her regardless of weight.

Any amount is good actually. 2-3 or even 4 doesn't make much of a difference. Just make sure you do AQ and drills as well
