Post update - I heard a lot of people talking about how we need to move up in leagues and the potential for them to increase the loot bonus

I will have to say this...besides a few good raids in Crystal..most bases I see in Masters are either max 10s or pretty decent 11s or max 9s with good base designs that require hefty troops or all spells used to even keep trophies up or get any loot.

I am a similar level to you Holy (combined 45Heroes). I was in Masters 1 as the update hit, and the game soon became no fun at all. I encountered exactly as you have described.
I have since moved back down to crystal 3, and I am comfortable. I am a casual player.

I just came to TH11 and masters 1 is pretty good if i attack in morning or afternoon. At night it's a lot of nexting to get a decent raid. Higher league is definitely fruitful to accumulate DE if you lots of giants to be your meat army.

My personal advice would be:

1) Cook all the army and spells before going to sleep and make sure you have to shield.
2) Morning: 7 AM to 9 AM When you wake up you still have 6 o 7 hrs of shield left so try to attack twice and get close to 800k to a million of resources along with 6k DE. This is quite possible as nexting is not an issue in the morning plus league bonus helps. Also, your shield will end after two attacks.
3) Lunch Time around 12 to 2 PM follow the same protocol with all the spells and couple of attacks.
4) 4 PM to 6 PM : This is the time when nexting increases so make sure you have war army as you will be getting 500k but they will be maxed out Th10s or TH11
5) Night 10PM to !2 PM: only if i'm not in war then I try to do couple of attacks to kill the shield before I sleep

I normally cook 16 giants, 2 pekkas, 15 wizards, 5 WB and 8 hogs. My Royals are lvl 30 with GW being 3.

I have found this way working for me since last couple of weeks and Lekin OP I have been to Silver 1 but I personally prefer being in masters due to league bonuses.

And yes I do get attacked thrice a day but total loss is minimal.
