My experience going from Silver to Masters post update.

So pre-update as a Th9 I stayed around silver and gold Gibarching dark elixir cause I am mainly focused on maxing my heroes while working on walls when I get the loot. King(going to 24) Queen (21)

Post update - I heard a lot of people talking about how we need to move up in leagues and the potential for them to increase the loot bonus way more than they did during the update. So I decided to move up through the leagues(it also helped that people would trophy drop on me quite often).

I will have to say this...besides a few good raids in Crystal..most bases I see in Masters are either max 10s or pretty decent 11s or max 9s with good base designs that require hefty troops or all spells used to even keep trophies up or get any loot.

I have resorted from playing a lot before update to just cooking a big army and attacking once in a while hitting next so many times I get frustrated and just pick a base with maybe a 1k de profit due to lack of effort to push next again.

I tried going to "the league I belong in" and for 1 the loot just isn't there. If I see 500k,500k,3kde its a near max th10 and I have no chance of getting maybe half that loot. Now I know some people have had success and thats awesome.

This is just my experience...I might just go back to silver and re-join the milk train.

Yeah, what I don't get is Supercell wants the players to attack each other with different kinds of Army composition. Isn't that the purpose of clan wars??

the trouble is leagues become over populated in my view for farming and u need to move on when the loot dries up, this was true pre and post update. Silver had it good, word gets out and suddenly the competition gets fiercer cause everyone is moving there. by the time it gets posted on forums that league is almost bled dry by active players all hoping and competiting for the same loot u want. When I see a league posted on forums as a good spot, I know I got 1 or 2 weeks tops there b4 I need to move on. I was playing in masters, which is pretty much dead bones right now, for ths I can hit, I've now moved on. Since th7 until now I have chased the loot league train from silver to champions and back again and now back in champs. It's an old farming technique and it still works. I've used gibarch the entire time. I know it's not barching, if u were into snipes, collector raids and dead bases but it will get u loot in the right league that isn't been swarmed

I'm a TH9 and moved up to Master 2 after the update.

It was boring, long construction times for troops and spells (even with the boost) and even with the loot bonus the income per hour was very bad.

I moved back down to silver, which is a bit better, but still very disappointing comparing with the loot before the update.

I don't think I will keep raiding like this... maybe just doing wars.

Yes, you may notice most of some decent loots are available in Crystal 1 or even 2. Yup, I notice that too, and here's the trick. You may keep your trophy between 2500-2650, which enables your trophy search range between crystal 2 to master 2. While you can find some decent loot down there in Crystal, you can still get loot bonus for master 3. Am I stating myself clearly? Hope this helps!
Aha, also my troop config. includes: giants, hogs, archers and 5 w.b, plus all healing spells. This cooking time isn't that loooong I think

Yea , you not alone , after update totaly unbalanced game . Game now boring.An I hate it now, I can get DE only 300-500 per raid , but I loose 2500 minimum . After update 2 weeks I was in same point with DE ( I raid 2-4 per day)

I was in masters 2 pre update, I found it impossible to accrue de so after 10 days I dropped down to silver, am now testing the waters again moving up through the gold leagues.

I might be minority, but I'd take 250k each, 1.5k DE + loot bonus (I'm in m2) any day.

I was in your exact same position. Th9 barching in gold, th outside. I got where sc was going with this update and started pushing. Gibarched (with some goblins, 1 heal, and 1 jump) up to champs 3, that's where the league bonus really starts to count. 200k gold/elixir 1220 DE, covers more than the cost of your army and anything you get from the base is bonus.

It is pretty brutal up here, but I still get by with gibarch. Give it a try 👍🏻
