I really don't understand all of the dropping. I am finding just as much loot in masters as I did in gold, not including the league bonus. Honestly, within two days of putting my lvl 25 bk down to upgrade, I already have near max dark again.

The trophy droppers probably largely consist of the same players who relied on town hall sniping before.

I mean for me as a th7 half way maxed on defenses, low level walls, almost all laboratory researched finished, dropping cups is to find loot. I only raid within about 1-2 hours of one of my builders completing his upgrade. I will drop cups (and gain a lil loot in process) to around silver3 then I will raid for 1 million elixir or gold depending on what I want to upgrade next. I will loot a little more if my builder isnt finished yet then ill upgrade some walls to dump extra gold and then start my next upgrade. The same thing applies for elixir for remaining labs. I have gemmed my collectors but rarely collect them I leave the resources in them so the people dropping cups will use between 5-20 archers to get some loot drop some cups and let the next guy have a turn. I may be part of the problem but I feel like what I am doing is fine. I do not raid and I do not trophy droop unless I need to upgrade so most of the time im donating to my clan talking with my clan prepping for war or deciding who's going to be in the next war or what not. I dont need anything my collectors collect because I am able to raid it so I am glad to let those trophy droppers and who ever raid me for some milk =) complain about my style if you would like to it works for me

Additional: after I have maxed out everything I will start my TH upgrade and go back to crystal to see if its nice there anymore if not ill push up as best I can. if there is no loot up there ill go back down. I dont know what league im "suppose" to be in but if someone sets a guideline maybe id try it out for a while but this is what I am doing. I think if others who have easy loot like me neglect to touch their collectors maybe we can spread the love easier!

    This is completely false.
The reason TH sniping was bad was because it produced an environment where players could go indefinitely without contributing back into the loot pool by tossing the TH out and getting a snipe for a 12 hour shield. This reduced the available loot in the system and is why many people were always complaining about not finding loot after spending nearly 100k nexting. Now, loot is all over the place. You just have to train a better army to get to it.

TH sniping was never intended. This is proven by the context information on the TH structure from the very early versions of the game. It said the TH is the most important building in your village.
Heck, for the first year the game was out, Sniping was almost unheard of.

I personally never had a problem with TH snipers. By that I mean players who get cups almost exclusively via TH sniping. I've come across a few TH7s in crystal and masters and it's not difficult to see from their profiles that all they've done is TH snipe they way up; they also resent being called snipers in global, for some reason.

I also don't really have a problem with TH8/9/10's etc sitting below gold - a few of my clanmates have been doing so even before the TH11 update dropped.

Unfortunately, in CoC, there will always be a possibility that a higher TH player will come and crush your base completely, regardless of what league you're in. The difference is that in a lower league, it should be less frequent an occurrence, in theory at least.

Since I went down to Silver post update, I had a handful of defeats (which gave me shields and made me lose cups). Before that, post update in Master's, I was crushed for heavy loot losses every. single. time. sometimes "winning" my defences at 29%.

Call me a hypocrite (some certainly have), but I don't derive pleasure in losing loot every half an hour (when my VG expires) by the 100,000's. So I headed south, not that cups or badges ever mattered to me, pre- or post-update.

    I understand the thought here, but I disagree with this. I think the free sheild put more loot and more bases into the mix. I'll explain ;

1: easy sheild , good chance of a snipe meant people with loot were willing to roll the dice on it. I'd personally break my sheild to attack. In my case, me and my loot were in the multi player pool allot more than now. I defend ok for a th8 so i'm getting 30% and now attacking through a sheild as much as i can.

2: New strategy is to raid for 1 resource/upgrade and to dump everything else so when you log out you aren't a desireable target... look for yourself, harder to find bases with 200k each, now it' 200k of 1 nothing of another. If i'm not after gold, i'll even next for no reason to get rid of it. I also bury what elixer and dark i can in my barracks que, before logging out.

Before, the easy sheild put us all back in the pool every 12 hours minimum . With less thought of loosing it all.... getting wacked once in a while was something we could live with.

Just to clarify... i have no problem with snipers or cup droppers...just pointing out there's a double standard...

I would love to see superccell roll back the update so everyone can play how they want.

There are a lot of hipocrates on these forms preaching that town hall sniping had to go...yet are max th8's to 10's sitting in silver....

Even supercell are telling us to try different leagues to find loot !

So manipulating cups is only bad..... sometimes ????
inb4 SC implements something ridiculous such as disallowing us to drop cups via 1 troop.

I wont call you a hipocrate.... you had no problem with the way a sniper played, nor did he/she with how you played , this is how it should be.

For the record, i really hope they don't also try to fix cup dropping now... both sniping and dropping do have a place in the game in my opinion. Why limit the many different ways to play a game....makes zero sense to me.
