We all know what a healer can do on offense: We know she can heal any ground troop or hero and has no offensive capabilities of her own. But what about on defense? I thought I knew the answer until I had two attacks on my base with different results.
First defense was a ground based gowipe. My plan was to see how the AQ would do on defense with 2 healers backing her up. I also had a minion, wizard, and archers to fill up to 35. Long story short, when the attacking troops came within range of the CC everything played out as you would think. The healers started healing the cc troops and AQ. My issue was I had the AQ on the wrong side and the attacker got the town hall and that was it.
Defense 2: Air bases attack with dragons and Lava. This time the air units came within range and only my wiz, archer, and minion came out to get slaughtered. AQ was within range and engaged the dragons. AQ dies. No healers attended the party. Completely MIA. What gives? Why did the healers not come out to heal the AQ or other CC troops as they took damage?
Question: Bug or Working as Intended?
Background / Wiki tells us:
The Healer is a flying unit. She is the only troop with no attacking/offensive capability, but can heal any ground Troops, except when she is defending as a clan castle troop (in which case she heals damaged Clan Castle reinforcement troops and heroes).
Yes I am aware healers don't heal flying units.
Yes I am aware healers don't heal damaged buildings.
