League Trophies

Serious question that will probably get lost amidst all the complaining.

Is the trophy system currently functioning as intended? If so, anyone well versed in the subject able to shed some light for me?

I'm in champ2 currently, 13 walls from being a max TH9. When attacking I find at its highest, TH 10s worth mid 20s on trophies if I 3 star them. The usual for th9s though is bases worth 4 to 20(highest one I've seen) for 3 stars.

So how is it a non revenge attack from a 9 in the same league as me earns 36 trophies?? I had to hit th10s through my entire shield to earn 28 trophies. Never once saw a th9 anywhere near 36 trophy value.

So is this the way trophies are meant to function, or is something broken?

I now see why I've read so many complaints coming out of titan. A hit from them on me at 100% earns all of 2 trophies. Rough.

Hard to say if it's broken or not but it's how it always works. If you skip a lot you may find some cup whales too

I'm seeing this too. The nines I find are typically in m3.. I rarely find a nine in champs, even though approaching half my league seems to be nines. I guess they're hiding behind paid shields.

The biggest issue is that there will be a lower percentage of 9s available with your cups AND available at attack when you are searching. This means that the matchmaking will bring up 10s or 9s that are lower in trophies. I have the same issue with my pushing TH8. There is nothing "broken". It is a method to get the strongest higher. The built in incentive is to upgrade.

Fair point, but I'd expect to get lucky occasionally, given the high proportion of nines in my league (small sample set I know).

Last week as I went through masters loot was way better than I'm seeing here, so I'm thinking of dropping back.

How are you finding M1 right now?

I've started paying attention to all my skips. About 1 in 50 is a base that is actually in my league. Majority being Champ3 Th10s. About 1 in 100 skips is a Th9, but they seem to be 100% in m2.

What blows my mind is a Th10 in Champ2 that outweighs me significantly was still only worth 28 trophies. Unsure how I could have been worth 36 to the same Th level in the same league.

Will be dropping back down to C3. Having to hit max defense 10s for 7 trophies at a time isn't worth it when you lose everything you work for in one hit.

Side note. I'm not looking for bases with loot. Bonus alone gets my last few walls closer to done. Dont need anything else.
