Ego gets in the way. Just like ego destroy a man, ego destroy a company too.
When you make a product that consumers love, even if it was deviated from your original intend or design, if it fits your market place, then go embrace it and promote it.
When you are shoveling your idea down to your consumers throats and disregard what your customers want, the business will fade. It's a very simple theory in the business world. I am not sure why Supercell as a commercial company does not get this simple idea.
