    What's wrong with war?

    I see a bunch of people saying the update ruined war yet have no reason why. Anyone able to elaborate?

    The extra 30secs were unnecessary for th9 and below

    TH8 is the new TH7 automatic 3 star if you know what you're doing (8 drags 13 loons 2 zaps 1 EQ 1 rage 1 max haste)
    TH9 has become too easy 3 star for dedicated war players because extra DE spell and time
    Matchups with TH11s make no sense

    2 extra spell slots...
    CC is not an issue with double poison...
    You can donate spells. Example: One can use 4 earthquake spells to open up part of the base permanently and still have 3 extra spell slots at th9...
    30 seconds of extra time...

    I must question, have you just not been paying attention?

    Edit: Who can forget the lovely mass witch at th11?

    Easier

    TH7 3-Star -->Automatic

    TH8 3-Star -->Nearly automatic with a good hogger even a terrible GoWiPe. The extra time helps that last pekka take down 20 buildings

    TH9 3-Star -->Much easier. Again spam gowipes can exploit extra time. Extra spells make Laloon OP

    TH10-->Still nearly impossible 3-Star vs non-Rushed bases. I have seen a few more 3-Stars but not enough. Tactics still lean heavy on mass golem attacks. Hogs have little impact. Laloon too weak. Needs more offense or def buff. TH 10 still needs rebalancing.

    TH11-->3-Star too easy with mass witch on open bases. GW is a great addition but TH11 needs rebalancing.

    Matchups

    try doing 40-50 man wars. The matchups with th10s vs th11s are messed up. It's like the eagle artillery and/or GW has no weight. Last war, we were doing 45v45 wars. We had roughly 11 th11s (2 th10.5s, th11s with no eagle yet), around 23 or so th10s and rest th9s.

    We were matched up with a clan with 33 th11s, rest th10s. Mind you, most of their wardens are lv5+, most had eagle artillery lv2s and the top 10 had completely maxed wardens and new defenses.

    Yeap. It was a nice war.

    I think it helped even a bit
    My clan struggled much against luring cc and was going no lure 90% of all battles,
    but now with the double poison does everyone have more fun even if they arent that good

    Just some stats from our last cw, we are both lvl 8 clans

    our side success/Attemps
    th10 vs th10 2 Star 2/4
    th9 vs th9 3 star 3/19
    th8 vs th8 3 star 4/12
    enemy
    th10 vs th10 2 star 1/3
    th9 vs th9 3 star 4/19
    th8 vs th8 3 star 5/7

    we won this exciting clanwar with 79-76 and you can see from this that 3 stars at th9 are also really rare after the update
