    Did they get the update right? Almost?

    Background:
    I am a casual player and was one of those that was going to stop playing when the update hit, however I have been with the same clan for a long time and it honestly felt like I would be turning my back on friends, so I stuck around. I came on here to join in the debate about this update and wanted some figures to back up my argument that this update sucked, only to find out that it was not really that bad.

    As a casual player I cannot attack all the time, once, maybe twice a day, now and again getting a 2 hour stint in. The good old TH on the outside allowed me to progress nicely without much effort - raid, get 12 hour shield and repeat when it suited knowing I would get another 12 hour shield.

    Post update I was worried that I would just fall backwards due to my lack of time to attack. However when I looked closely at the figures the game is more like any other game. If all you do is collect your resources every 12 hours you will roughly stand still from a loot perspective. If casual players plan the 12 hour shields correctly you can raid at the end of each 12 hour shield and increase your loot levels before you lose the shield and get raided.

    Above shows you the max you can collect vs max that can be taken from storages - I think that what is in collectors is above and beyond that (I hope my figures are correct).

    So if you collect your loot every 12 hours, like any other game you will remain in the same position - this I honestly cannot complain about at all.

    Now for the almost:


    As you can see DE in th7 and th8 cannot be recovered in the 12 hour period, SuperCell - could you do something about this - it seems way unfair? TH9+ seem to come out OK (with maxed collectors).

    29% raids - this must be destroying people's happiness with the game, I have not seen it for myself, but I can imagine how bad it is to be punished for a really good defence. This is something I feel SuperCell need to address very quickly. Hopefully they are looking at the raiding stats vs shields allocation and looking for multiple patterns for giving out a shield - 50% army + 20% destruction. 100% of army used etc. etc.

    Leagues - this to me seems to be as big an issue as the TH on outside. People are just dropping trophies to fend of attacks from stronger players whilst attacking weaker players - surely this is not as the leagues were planned to be used.

    Should the loot penalty for -1 TH be increased to protect their resources a little better. I know as a mid level th9 I can smash any th8 and there is nothing they can do about it - that seems more wrong now than ever.

    They had some good ideas but they failed miserably. The good news is they could easily fix this if they wanted to. Simply increase league bonuses and add league bonus for defenses. Remove the 30% requirement for a shield and change it to if an attacking enemy uses half of their army you are now granted a shield. This will keep from punishing people who have nice defenses repeatedly and wind up losing 500k+ resources because they already defended 2 or 3 times with no shield.

    Lastly stop pushing abandoned bases to the back of the queue there is literally zero players who dislike coming upon a collector raid. I have been playing for over 2 years and there is still nothing that brings a smile to my face like finding a base with full pumps.

    It would take them about 5 minutes to write the code for these changes and literally everyone would be happy.

    Now the bad news, they don't care what anyone wants and they won't do this because they are an inept company who has no concept of what is going on in their game.

    Penalize trophy dropping and you fix the league issue and the 29% garbage at the same time.

    Most players do not have the time to commit to 4 hour long 29% storage raids. As long as players keep hiding in leagues where the bonus does not justify an army that is strong enough to raid their storage, this game is broken.

    Barching abandoned bases and sniping TH.
    or
    Raiding storages.

    Pick one and go with it Supercell but as it stands the game has become garbage.

    Increasing league bonus will fix nothing. It will only encourage players to drop further.

    The reason everybody drops is so that the league bonus is not enough to justify training an army big enough to raid their storage. Raise the bonus and they drop lower.
