    Question Question about changing language?

Ok so since the update I have suffered massively, I'm now mid th8 in gold 3 and I seriously cannot find decent loot. Yes there is some out there but it mostly requires a full gowipe army to access and even then I'm breaking even rather than earning and being a family man I don't have time to attack through my shield during the day, with day to day stuff so I usually clash at night.

Now nightly in English I find very little and earn less than I'm losing in my defenses, especially DE ( I cannot even begin to tell you how much I have suffered with DE since update, but that's another story)

I have heard changing language helps, but I have also read on here that it's complete nonsense, so I present my own findings.

After 10pm UK and pressing next over 100 times I was both frustrated and getting bored so I decided to switch language to french. 1st attack was a snipe (50k gold 75k pink 300DE 11cups) So I now often switch to either french or Italian and find either LOTS of th snipes or better (ok not much better, but still better) loot.

So my question is WHY?, Lots of people say changing language means nothing but in my experience, it changes the whole game for me, I find either snipes and I mean loads of snipes or at the very least better loot. Even if iI switch back t English, it's back to rubbish loot and pressing next so many times I get bored??? Can anyone explain this?

There's no explanation known to be proven. It has been debunked though...

Best explanation that I know of is that it is just a coincidence.

No, changing global doesn't change anything, you always get international peeps in multi player. However, it might make you feel that you're getting better loot.

    Thank for the reply but....

Thanks for the reply but it's a pretty huge coincidence, I'm not basing this on one night of trying, I am now doing this on the regular.

I have also read it being debunked, but I had to come on say it really is making a difference for me. Yes it is bizarre and that's why it's so confusing. Look I'm not complaining I will do whatever it takes to help myself and it seems doing this is helping me, but I can assure you it is no coincidence.

Just think for a moment why on earth would the developers associate a client's language setting with the account's base when it's offline? Then, on top of that, why would they go even further being absurd by basing multiplayer matchmaking on the offline player's language setting?

To answer your question though, changing language does not affect matchmaking. Why? Because the language setting (as well as music, sound, and snow settings) are part of the client's data, not the server. If you have two devices attached to the same account, try it out for yourself. Change the language on one device and log out. Then log in on your other device. Did the first device change the language on the second device? If yes, then the language setting is stored on the server. If no, then it's only on the client. And if it's only on the client, then how would any of those offline bases you find in matchmaking have anything to do with a language setting?

I've been doing this for a couple months. I believe everyone when they say its been debunked but I really do feel like there is a difference between English and other languages. You can call me superstitious.

in all honesty, i believe the japanese servers have some decent th9s with 300k+ loot up in champions 3. It sure beats spending upwards of 20 minutes trying to find a non-max th10 or a th9 that doesnt give 3-6 cups on norsk/english global.

You raise a good point, however I do not have the luxery of trying this on multiple devices, however I would be interested to see the result.

To address your point about changing language not affecting matchmaking, I couldn't agree more, it makes no sense.

What I can say and I say this with not only blind confidence, but with the confidence of testing this extensively. I can be in English language and press next maybe a couple of hundred times (believe me I have counted) and then switch to say French and find maybe 20 th snipes and better loot in say 40 nexts???

I again say yes it is bizarre but it is a fact, well at least in my case, I have maybe one other clan member who has also tried and will agree but beyond that I cannot confirm if it is the same for everyone.

It is perhaps an anomaly, but one I am taking advantage of.

Ill have to try this... When I'm searching in Champs2, all I seem to find are maxed out 10s, 11s, and very few 9s. I'm a 9 BTW. The only 9s that show up are 3-6 cups with no loot. I'm starting to feel like I'm the only 9 in champs.

This is a common myth that there is a different server for each language. this makes no sense at all -- we're just talking about chat rooms here, and one server can probably run 100s of chat rooms in several different languages. This is illogical nonsense that people repeat in global chat.
