Using cc spell when it in clan

Am I missing something or are you not allowed to use a cc spell when not in a clan. I can drop my cc troops but the spell does not show up on the display bar. Thanks

yeah this is a very annoying part of the update.
if it's been donated to you you should be able to use it.
What i do is join a random dead clan before i attack. that way i can use my cc spell if one of my alts is floating around.
