    Boost builders/research

    Offer the ability to boost builders and research factory for 24 hours, same as currently available for mines.

    How many gems would this cost? How much would the speed be boosted?

    While it would be nice, it wouldn't be a good idea for the simple fact that it would kill gem part of the game. Trust me, you're looking at a 2X speed for 12-45 gems lasting 6 hours. This means you cut off 6 hours. Why this value? Because the amount of gems it costs to finish an upgrade decreases as the time goes up. So it would profit gems very slightly compared to just hitting 'finish now'

    Yeah, but I wonder how they'd deal with what Silersun pointed out.
    Maybe restrict a boost to a certain time?

    Like if the upgrade takes 12 hours, can only boost at 2x for 2 hours?

    They'll throw in something, to protect their gem profits.

    There are two potential possibilities here: 1. They could just leave it as a standard cost and if the project ends before the boost does, then it is up to you to use the builder and take advantage of the remaining part of the boost. 2 SC could try something much more complex...... Figure out a (gem)time taken off the upgrade ratio) that will remain constant and vary in maximum amount of boost time available. An example would be 60 gems for 6 hr boost, 40 gems for 4 hours, 20 gems for 2 hours etc.
