[Discussion] Why do max TH9s complain about war so much?

If you're a max TH9 saying war is too easy now, why don't you move to townhall 10? The logic is that townhall 10 is too hard to 3 star because of inferno towers. Well you're complaining about war not being a challenge then complain about war being too much of a challenge?

An open base TH10 or one with two-layer ring base can easily be three-starred with mass golem or mass witches if your heroes are high enough.

However, three starring TH10, I mean, the one with proper layout is near impossible ATM. Unless they are using "that"

Well, for so long the elite war scene was the best ever at TH9 - it was hard to three-star, just not impossible. However, with the introduction of the extra spell place and the poison spell, they have basically eliminated the CC with minimal effort. You go into battle with the same amount of spells you used to, only the opposition didn't have a CC.

Conversely, TH10 has long been considered the land of the bunnies, mainly because of level-3 infernos. They completely negate Hog attacks, apart from the ones which can be practiced over and over again, because they require complete knowledge of traps, pathing and coordinated attacks to achieve, as you need it so that the hogs hit the core as the infernos drop - otherwise, Heal spells are useless and your hogs are dead. If you think about it, TH10s get 40/40 heroes, an extra X-bow, and the infernos, plus lvl8 wiz towers (which completely savage loons), going up against just one level of which wizard, one level of golem and one level of hound - it's not balanced at all, and now, neither is TH9, which is why they complain.

Not not to mention the extra 30 secs of clean-up time...
You say loot problem, I'll say your problem.

    I honestly don't get it.

Yes, I agree that poison completely killed CWC diversity, and the second poison made cc obsolete.

Yes I agree the extra 30 seconds evened the playing field a bit; I was getting 3*s on max th9s beforehand, and it is now not nearly the fear it used to be. Bad attackers still can't 3* though, so I'm not tripping.

Yes, you are 3*ing most of your opponents, if you're skilled...weren't you doing that at TH7 and 8 with dragons or hogs though? What's the difference? I just enjoy the 3*s while I continue to max out my base and heroes. Little over halfway done with lavas, BK20 AQ23 (going to 24). I'll take them both to 30 before I go to TH10. Hopefully by then, the lix crisis will be done with.

People want a level where 3 stars are challenging but not impossible. Max th9 gave that and they took it away.

Before poison in good clans most th9s would get cleaned but a th10 or 2 might need to drop to assist.

First poison bases were generally cleared by th9s. Now th9s get cleaned with double digit th9 attacks remaining which makes it less fun.

Th10 is still basically impossible to 3 star good bases so is also not a place people want to be.

Well if most people are two starring at TH10, then it comes down to %s, which is essentiall the same thing and can still make it challenging.

TH10 is probably now better for warring than TH9. Since "everyone" who is "good" is 3-starring all the time at th9, TH10 is where it is at.

Because th10 is an unbalanced cashcow, 3 staring 10's is not just hard but near impossible, I lol every time someone comes with the, "but we are a 3 star specialist clan" sure....we all know how clans get 100% destruction and is not by playing fair.

I think that most TH9s wouldn't have minded if they had balanced TH10 while adding the bit extra for TH9.

I honestly think it is a good thing for the game overall, though killing the CC with such ease is kind of dumb. The extra time and extra spells really open up a lot of strategies to a lot more gamers. Sure the elite get a bit bored, but everyone else has that much more fun.

But the elite should have a playground too, and that should be the max TH level or the one below it to balance trophy pushing and war. So, all SC needs to do is a few tweaks to TH10 offense, or add a new troop or nerf inferno heal negation and I think pretty much everyone will be happy with the balance of the game. They may need to add a bit more defense to Th11 if they do that, but as Jake from OneHive says, Th10 is very, very close to being as balanced as TH9 used to be.

But people don't want to be playing for percentage, there is much more satisfaction in 3 staring a base then 2 star at 85%. Also inferno towers kill a number of the fun th9 strats. Th10 looks boring from everything I've seen. No hogs, no valks. Just endless golaloon with a requirement to have beast heroes.
