I was just flicking through the threads on the forums, and it takes a while to find anything vaguely positive in any of them. The forums is a place to come to ask questions, share findings or organise clash of clans related competitions and events. However, I'm struggling to see how this is the case any more. I will admit, this update can be frustrating, and us players have the right to vocal our opinions. But there is a line, and lots of people have started to cross it...
There is a difference between giving Supercell constructive criticism and just straight up insulting them. I agree that casual players are now struggling to progress in clash of clans with the lack of free shields, and this really needs to be addressed in some way or another, but people are being straight-up rude and directly insulting Supercell employees and game developers. Consequently, this has grown to a much bigger extent where haters of the update are arguing and insulting those who support the changes that Supercell have made. The 'war' aspect of Clash of Clans seems to have spread from the game itself to here, the forums, and it needs to stop.
Today, as most of you will be aware, Clash Royale was soft launched. This has lead to another uproar amongst the Clash community because not many people appreciate that the games are made, developed and updated by two separate teams. Just because they are made by the same company doesn't been they are both terrible, so those who are immature enough to rate Clash Royale 1* without playing it in the first place need to think again.
I also read somebody sum up what could happen if this continues quite well -
'Lets say all Clashers rate this game 1 star that hate clash. So this game in its first day is already doomed. The developers that have worked hard for a year + doesn't have a chance to showcase what they worked for. Now they're fired. They have no job and maybe they have kids to feed. Maybe they have a divorce due to financial reasons because they lost their job.
All this could happen to the developers of that game because a bunch of kids can't play the game they want. I'm all for you with your ideas for Clash. This game needs to improve. Supercell needs to improve communication. But there are people's lives involved in this project. Please don't mess with that over this update.' - SolidNumber2178281828
So Clashers, think before you click post in the next instance. Is being toxic and insulting the right thing?
