    What have we turned into?

I was just flicking through the threads on the forums, and it takes a while to find anything vaguely positive in any of them. The forums is a place to come to ask questions, share findings or organise clash of clans related competitions and events. However, I'm struggling to see how this is the case any more. I will admit, this update can be frustrating, and us players have the right to vocal our opinions. But there is a line, and lots of people have started to cross it...

There is a difference between giving Supercell constructive criticism and just straight up insulting them. I agree that casual players are now struggling to progress in clash of clans with the lack of free shields, and this really needs to be addressed in some way or another, but people are being straight-up rude and directly insulting Supercell employees and game developers. Consequently, this has grown to a much bigger extent where haters of the update are arguing and insulting those who support the changes that Supercell have made. The 'war' aspect of Clash of Clans seems to have spread from the game itself to here, the forums, and it needs to stop.

Today, as most of you will be aware, Clash Royale was soft launched. This has lead to another uproar amongst the Clash community because not many people appreciate that the games are made, developed and updated by two separate teams. Just because they are made by the same company doesn't been they are both terrible, so those who are immature enough to rate Clash Royale 1* without playing it in the first place need to think again.

I also read somebody sum up what could happen if this continues quite well -

'Lets say all Clashers rate this game 1 star that hate clash. So this game in its first day is already doomed. The developers that have worked hard for a year + doesn't have a chance to showcase what they worked for. Now they're fired. They have no job and maybe they have kids to feed. Maybe they have a divorce due to financial reasons because they lost their job.

All this could happen to the developers of that game because a bunch of kids can't play the game they want. I'm all for you with your ideas for Clash. This game needs to improve. Supercell needs to improve communication. But there are people's lives involved in this project. Please don't mess with that over this update.' - SolidNumber2178281828

So Clashers, think before you click post in the next instance. Is being toxic and insulting the right thing?

It's been a month. There has been enough constructive criticism and supersellout has yet to comment or change anything. No reason to be formal anymore is there?

Since we are going for wild speculation let me give you a counter to what could possibly happen:
Because people don't play Clash Royale they find a new game from a young independant developer. This developer then employs the developers who had to leave supercell because of the companies failure to respect its client base. Because he isn't paying out to a big corporation he engages in profit sharing with his employees giving them much more money than they ever would have earnt with SC. He then decides to repay his clients for making him successful and upon discovering that one has a child suffering from a rare form of cancer he invests in experimental treatments for the child hoping to at least help them live a better life. In the course of the testing for treatments a cure for cancer is found and the child, along with millions of others are saved. The child grows up, remembering the kindness of this individual, and turns out to be a great leader who unifies the whole world and begins investing in clean fuels/technology and space exploration leading mankind into a beautiful future among the stars with Earth as a wonderful planet marking our humble beginnings.

Edit: Also, taken from that post which seems to have been deleted I wrote this:

The reality is; if the forum is now full of dissatisfied people immediately following one update to a product perhaps the company responsible for the update should take some responsibility for the dissatisfaction. Even if they are fine with the dissatisfied people leaving the game they should still feel some sort of compassion/empathy/responsibility and tell the players straight out that this is the future of the game. Not this insulting silence from them.

With regard to down voting the other game. I personally wouldn't do so without first playing the game and judging it to be a scam where vulnerable players are suckered in and then encouraged to spend money but I can understand why some people might have a moral imperitive to try and protect others from falling into the trap they themselves have with what SC have done to CoCs.

Ok, that's taking it to a whole new level.

What's really sad is all of this could have been avoided if SC would communicate with its users. A few simple "hey we know you guys are upset and we are working on it" would have gone a long way and healed many wounds. Instead we sit here knowing just as much as we did weeks ago with not a word spoken from SC.

That's what happens when someone in a conversation does not communicate, answer, or even talk.

First, you argue with kind words, you take care about the form of your message.

    No answer.

You raise your voice a little bit, your tone is firmer, it makes you kind of sad to be ignored, since you sent creative criticism.

    No answer.

You begin to feel resentment. "Why this dumbass is ignoring me?"

    No answer.

This is what you get when you ignore communication and PR.

Instead of making silly story adverts with Gavin's over weight mate about lava hounds maybe some energy could be put into calming down the community from Supercell's side.

They should not have allowed it to get this out of control?
