8M or 3M you offer the same, you probably had more elixir in your collectors or CC.

According to OP, he had emptied his collectors before the defence, so that's out of the equation.
if you had enough common sense, you would click the screenshot and see that he did not have any loot in his clan castle.
"loot cap" is the same for gold and elixir, so if you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk about it. If they did cap at that number he would have the same amount of gold and elixir available, but he doesn't, does he?
8M and 3M DO NOT offer the same. He is questioning why the difference in numbers Between gold and elixir is there, despite having more gold in his storages (by ALOT, enough to make a difference).

However, his first screenshot only shows 5 of the 6 available collectors so we only have the OP word on whether or not he actually collected from them or missed them when doing his 'rounds of collectors'.

I know that I have certainly done that before and had all bar one collector empty.

You can empty them all the times you want, there's a 5 mins cooldown where you cant be attacked so they're not empty

You have more lv10 gold mines than lv10 elixir collectors

---> you offer more elixir than gold

There is something called loot cap,For th10 its 400k and you already reached that amount by having 3.5mil elix on storage.

The only question here,Is why the gold only offers 390k instead of 400k(max cap)

But anyway,You should be thankful for that,Cause on normal situation,You should be offering 400k gold and 400k elix instead of 390k gold and 400k elix or 390k gold and 390k elix just like the way you want it to be.

You cut off the lower part of the attack image so I assume attacker is TH10 or lower (by loot offered)
