    War Weight Changes for Clash on TH11 update - December 2015 changes...

    Updated 1-24-16
    There were some massive changes to war weight with this update (specifically for th9 to 11) = I have yet to see anyone post accurate new numbers to describe how the new weights are calculated.

    Update -2-1-16 I'm not sure what the Loot cart changes have done - there were a few random decreases in war weight on a couple accounts that could throw off some of this info; but generally the numbers are most likely solid.

    Update 3-7-16; witches and lava hounds updated along with a variety of other things - will be a new update soon and weights could adjust.. this entire topic could become junk...

    Update 3-20-16 - BK unlock is twice the weight for defenseless accounts - other small additions as well

    *Not updated 3-15-17 - Most of the things here are still accurate BUT now some extra offense is secretly being added in a way that is harder to detect. I will not (at this time) post the numbers I've found for some things... if you have questions post a reply and I'll address them.

    ----------=====Why worry about Weight? - (Opinionated info here):=====----------
    *real game data - general observations not cold hard facts: - this varies based on how rushed a player is - but generally speaking these are the numbers for when you will start seeing the next TH level in a way that will hurt you. These are the biggest changes in your gaming experience *This is a worst case scenario when fighting an engineered war clan.


    20k - you will start seeing th6/7 bases that are hard for you to kill without 200 camps and higher esearch.

    35k - you will likely start seeing TH8 players with 3 air defenses - you will not be able to kill them easily.

    45k you will start seeing rushed TH9 players with Xbows; your research should be max thh8 with a level 10 king - or ideally a premie th9 with two level 15 royals

    55k you will start seeing Rushed th10 bases with Infernos; you need two level 10 heroes for a two star -ideally you will be a solid th9 with level 20 heroes

    65k you will see rushed th11 bases with Grand wardens - to effectively kill them you need to be th10 attack power with 20+ heroes and max research on war troops



    ----------=====Defense Weights by item - Valid on 10-1-16):=====----------
    Upgrade TH to next level = no weight (3 to 11 all tested)

    Eagle Artillery - Estimated and reported to be 6k -some report 15k Rumors say on a defenseless it could be as high as 30k

    Air def -New level one = 1k @th8
    Air def - Upgrade from lvl1 to lvl2 =1k *after the 2nd war where my weight went up 1k - it went back down magically - 1k lower... so upgrading AD did not add weight after all?
    *Air defenses between town hall 6 and 7 will give some 'free' upgrades where you will not see a weight gain at all. Partially due to recent updates adding a third air def at th6 (without revamping the max weight of a th6)

    Inferno -New level one for a solid th10= 3k
    Inferno - New level one for a light weight 48k hybrid = 13k (up to 61k weight before purchase)

    Mortar - New level one @th9 = 3000

    Xbow - New Level one @th9= 2000
    Xbow - New Level one ( = 3k (could have been research dragon lvl4 starting or could have been th10
    xbow - New Level one (third test on #5) = 3k - no research starting or ending
    xbow - th10 - new level 1 (purchased with 2 infernos at 3k each =) 1k for xbow ?
    xbow - th10 Third level 1 xbow =2k increase for the third one.
    Xbow th10 hybrid light weight 51k= FIRST xbow is punishment weight of 4k
    Xbow =Third one =2k weight (tested on a 68k th11 hybrid= ended up at 70k)
    Xbow- Fourth one =1k weight (other three are all level 1 - on Draconia 70k th11 hybrid)

    Archer Tower - Upgrade from level 1 to lvl2 =

    Wiz tower @th9 1500 each - confirmed Twice
    Wiz tower @th6 is 3k - guaranteed from testing #15 - Why is it a higher weight at a lower town hall level? - test again

    Tesla - New level one @th9 added 1k -tested twice
    Tesla - Upgrading from 1 to 2 on #8 = 2004 (why such an odd # - canceled and will re test)
    Tesla Upgrade from level 1 to 2 on #17 Added 1k more
    Tesla upgrade from 2 to 3,4 and 5 on the same #17 account = zero weight gain.
    *will test teslas on all accounts now

    Sweeper @th9 (added no weight - maybe only when its finished? - cancel and re test
    Sweeper - new lvl1 @th10 = 1k weight

    ----------=====Sub Category- Hiden Traps/ bombs/Air and ground):=====----------
    From a defenseless th10 to purchasing every available hidden trap AND maxing them all - added about 6k total weight. This number is confusing and is highly suseptible to other unknown factors. Generally purchasing a new level 1 hidden trap will cause a HIGHER weight gain than upgrading it. In most cases you can max out the defense and see zero weight gain; sometimes you will see a minor increase after doing 4 or 5 upgrades.


    Spring trap = 1k weight

    GB level 1 - Zero weight

    Skeleton Trap level 1 = 1k
    Air bomb - unlock level 1 No Weight (*may have 250 weight
    Air Bomb unlock level 1 @th8= 500 to 1k Variable
    Air bomb -upgrade level 1 to 2 - No change at all @th6
    Air Bomb - upgrade to level 2 - 2nd test - no change at th6 again
    Air Bomb - upgrade to level 3 - No change in weight
    Air bomb - upgrade to level 4 - No Weight

    Seeking Air mine - adding level 1 = Zero weight may have 500 weight
    Seeking Air mine - adding level 1 *Added two and got 1k weight
    Seeking Air mine - adding level 1 @th8= 1k Variablet

    ----------=====Sub Category- Walls):=====----------
    Total estimated weight for 275 walls is 6k *by far the lightest weighted and most expsnsive item in the game.
    Generally buying a new level 1 wall is the only time you will currently see any weight added. Maxing that wall does not increase your weight at all. (used to be different) The first 35 walls are definatley 'free' and have no added weight - so any 'defenseless' or 'no walls' base is wasting a good 100 million that they could be spending on the first Tier of walls. Theres no reason to avoid them. somwehere after 35 walls 1k is added, 1k more at various other stages of purchase that I have not narrowed down.


    Walls test 1= ten level 1 walls = zero weight (on #7)
    Walls test 2= Spent 5 million on wall upgrades = no change in weight at all
    Walls test 3 +10 upgraded to skull walls (5 mil gold) on #3 - no weight added
    Wall test 4 on #8 Purchased 100 new walls and upgraded them all to level 5 - ZERO weight
    Wall test 5 on #9 2-15-16 purchased 125 walls upgraded to level 6 = 4k weight!!
    Walls test 6= using Defenseless accounts to find weights=

    Walls level 5 = 100% complete on 1-14-16 wieght=16k
    Walls level 6 = 100% complete on 1-17-16 Weight 16k =No change.

    Ongoing wall test #7= using a pair of defenseless accounts to slowly buy and max out walls.
    TIER 1: Wall 1 to 35 - no weight

    TIER 2: wall 38 was 13k wall 39 was 14k = up to 41 still 14k on #17

    'TIER 3:walls up to 80 added no weight = 85 increaed by 1k. (added tesla lvl2 @16k to 17k for test)

    TIER 4 From wall # ? to ?

    TIER 5 From wall # ? to 250

    TIER 6: wall 251 to 275 =1k (tested twice)

    I've proved this wrong with attempts to upgrade the tesla - and when upgrading the air defense... but I've proved it right with upgrading Air Bombs.

    Things like
    1- defenseless bases hurt your clan due to offensive weights being taken as the primary basis for a match- (I disagree)
    2- war matches are rounded up at each level - at the start of war - look at your 'recomended target' (before anyone else attacks) - this is your actual mirror in weight / attack power etc and if it is higher than you - that means you can add new defenses without extra weight (I disagree )

    I could start 4 mortars lvl 1 at the same time to check this, but my workers are the next 3 days busy

    Edit: I think nothing changed over the update, because at my mini max base the warweight didnt changed a bit

    might want to redouble check that max TH9 value. I am pretty sure its been floated as 70K, though if you have a screenshot to prove it...

    In the past --when you upgraded a wall... or a hero -- your war weight would go up the next war...

    Example, back in august I had 100% skulls with my minimax - easy matches...

    September I had 100% leggos - no other upgrades at all - just research - heroes -walls Matches were getting harder

    October - max lava walls - no other upgrades -just heroes and resarch... suddenly its a struggle to get 3 stars again...

    The very low weight of walls (used to be around 25 each section) - a full 1k for the complete set of walls -- it was a no brainer to upgrade them... so I thought...

    Now in war - players with walls 3 levels lower than me - with xbows and 2 infernos started appearing as my mirror... without a freeze spell at th10 it was quite impossible to do better than 2 star 80% on any of those bases...

    Of course, if I did the math - for the weight as they were then.. the fact that I had 3k extra weight in walls - they had 3k less in walls but more in those big bad defenses... it would seem that my choices in what weight to buy was faulty.

    So - Now I want to know what the weight is - for all defenses - all upgrades - and I would like to be able to pick and choose - which ones are best - for each of my accounts...

    Is that asking too much?

    My personal observations are all 100% accurate as I did those calculations myself in game during the past few wars... the other things are examples of what I have found - historically- old data... I'm looking for NEW data - - post update...

    Perhaps I should be talking to those clan leaders who arrange wars... they may have more data... I can't find anyone in this forum talking about it.

    Unlocking level 1 archers - SIX weight.
    unlocking level 1 valkryies - 1000

    upgrading pekka to level 2 - seems to add no weight.

    Queen upgrade through level 5 has no added weight... (as if a level 1 queen is as good as a level 5 ?)

    Upgrading a tesla seems to add 1000 weight as well (used to be 200)

    Upgrading an Air defense adds 1000 weight (used to be 230)

    Upgrading 40 walls from level 6 to 7 -- NO NEW WEIGHT (used to be 40 each; whats going on with walls?)

    Question for ya'll

    So I'm trying to set up and inter clan scrimmage and was planning to use 3 star clashing until i saw this post.

    My question is..If i do not plan to bring in any th11s into my scrimmage would that effect any weight changes in my war?

    For example, id like to keep it to 1 th10 and th9, th8 war only. Theoretically, i could still use the site since all the weights would be all on the wrong scale?


    Just throwing out an idea cause i don't want to adjust every weight I have collected.

    clan war matching wont make much difference from the past methods...

    Have - ALL - of your clans members stop upgrading things.. simple as that... at least during the couple days prior to the war match...

    Or have them only upgrade things that dont change weight..

    problem is - What exactly does change weight now...

    Adding some defenses adds weight -- adding other defenses doesnt...

    Upgrading some defenses will add weight - upgrading others will not.

    doing some research will increase your weight -- doing other research will not.


    I want to make sense of the actual numbers of everything... I'm guessing not many others are into that... The original numbers were leaked when someone decrypted a data file in the game....

    I'm doing it by upgrading one thing at a time - one account at a time - one war at a time...

    -For clan war matching - just check your weight in war - and then stop upgrading...

    My th10's have been 66k and 65k since august... zero upgrades -- oddly enough research doesnt seem to be making the research go up... not even level 4 to 5 max golems...

    The new weight system is freaky weird...

    Adding more details to first post...

    found the values for a couple more things...

    I wish someone could tell us what changed with TRAPS and WALLS...

    Seems upgrading walls is having no added effect on weight... which - if true - is a massive departure from the past system where every upgrade increased our weight..


    ALSO - the war weight seems overly generic... I have a few accounts that are 15k weight - and they have different defensive and attack values... they should in no way be perfect 15,000 weights... they should be some random even or odd number above or below 15k...

    Then I have a few accounts where the numbers are unique and different... values of 2006 for one tesla upgrade; how did that happen? freaky...

    Can anyone help make sense of this?

    Updating..

    First post now has links to other valuable conversations regarding war weights with short summaries...

    Strange results with a few accounts having 15k war weight - each account has slightly different levels of defenses and th levels vary from th5 to 7 but all their weights are the same... This implies that there are Weight Brackets that you could fall in - even at lower levels - where upgrading certain things will not add to your weight at all - up to an unknown point...

    May be wasting your time here...

    AFAIK SUPERCELL now has the power to change war weight at any given moment. I believe they are adjusting it since the update and I advise wait for it to settle before coming to conclusions.

    This information is based on my own research. War weights of bases TH7-TH11 has been changing from 18%-39% very drastically even with no changes!!

    What do you think?
