Really depends how well you can farm. If you can farm off TH9s and TH10s fairly proficiently now then jumping to TH10 isn't an entirely bad thing. If however your main source of resources is still hitting TH8s then I would suggest starting to farm off TH9s and TH10s more frequently, those low level heroes aren't going to help too much either at TH10 wars.

Before you think of maxing th9 completely, your heros are too low, get them to 25 then you can revist the question.
By then you will know what is grind and if you like it or not.

Don't worry about losing time. I was like you, stuck at the crossroads whether to continue maxing out TH9 or just head up and get my infernos. Eventually, I chose to stick to maxing out TH9. FYI i advanced to TH10 with maxed TH9 defenses and 235 lavas along with a level 30 queen and a 26 king. It was definitely worth it. FYI, i was at TH9 for over a year!

Both players have lvl20 royals, Legos, maxed defenses and lab

Player A moves to th10, player B stays at th9 for another 4 months to max heroes and walls

4 months later,
Player A has 30/30 royals due to superior de income and does not require hero to use gibarch on th9s like player B, has maxed infernos and half maxed th10 defenses. Due to no elixir dump past the first month, he also has at least half lavas. He also has maxed th10 farming and war troops, working on auxiliary troops

Player B is now a 30/30 royal, lava wall, brand new th10

So 1 extra pump is going to allow him to farm+collect enough to have both Heros down at once? Given the fact that he has 14/15 Heros after 3 months makes me think your scenario is ♥♥, for him and most people.

I have nearly the same th9 as you except I have a lot more Legos and 10 lvl 10 walls.... Even my valks are lvl 1 like yours... all troops the same, got lvl 3 poisen though.

Im going to completely max my th9 before upgrading.

And smart is subjective and there fore you can't be a smart rusher. There are aspects of the game you can take advantage of when you rush but at the end of the day it's all just opinion. The fact is he thinks that it's likely to have both Heros down between 25 & 30 because of an extra drill when that's not realistic at all.
