Is it possible for this game to survive after this?

Just from my observations alone, Id say 80%+ are unhappy with the update. SC gets hammered by players on social media with every single post they make. The forums have been filled with hate threads since the update. After hearing Galadon's perspective on things saying we should all just move on, and the fact that SC doesn't care one bit about us, can this game actually survive? There has to be a substantial amount of revenue lost since the update. I mean its pretty obvious. What will the developers do if the game takes a deep plunge? Ive invested 2 years into building my base and although I can't play the game like I use to I still want to have the game on my devices. I guess to at least have something for the money and time invested. This is the only mobile game I have played for more than a few weeks so Im not sure if games stick around after the popularity fades.

Hmm im TH9, playing from about 2 years. My clan has stopped the free flow of troop. Chat is dead. Base is crawling. Everyone in the clan is gloomy and cant compete for troop donation reps etc. Their hope that 'new players' will like it are faulty coz they will face the same unfun environment the moment they step in to higher THs. They'd be lucky if they had not invested in gems by that time.

Possible? Absolutely. Likely...that's up for contention. I think it will but their former glory will never be restored.

I actually think it's possible this update has killed the game as we know it, and we will see the game fade away. It won't be killed instantly, because the game is addictive, so you'll have those people no matter what (probably 20-30%), and they'll gem just like SC wanted them to.

But as for the majority of players, the farmers, they'll find a new game and there won't be anyone left to attack for loot, the economy will fail and SC will keep trying to plug the holes until the game collapses.

This is one time I actually believe a company has killed its own game with a completely pointless update. It wasn't like TH snipes and the way the game was played the last few years was doing anything wrong, they had become the biggest mobile game ever, and they killed it with one update.

It's actually pretty incredible, I doubt they thought this game was so fragile. But when you make it so you can't progress without gemming, there is no point in playing.

Your observation is 80% of forum users. The forum has 22k Active users not all clash players. So 80% of them is a far cry from the majority of clashers around the globe.

Also if you are enjoying the game you are less likely to create a forum account to come here to pine over the update.

Compared to someone who is unhappy creating a forum account to complain about the update.

So long answer short the forum is not the place to get a pulse of the current status of the game.

Stop acting like this update hasn't severely affected this game for the worse, it has. The percentage is irrelevant, you ask in game and I bet you 9/10 will say they prefer the game as it was before, shoot I'd say 10/10.

Not saying people are not unhappy about the change, not saying that a lot of people are not happy with the change.

My only issue with with people who are unhappy is there total bias to themselves in thinking that shares their opinion

Yes the patch is a huge change, yes there is negative effects to that change yes SC has some tweaks to do to repair the negativity. They have stated they are observation and open to making changes. People just need to show some patience.

People dont need to pull out their end of the world repent now signs.
