I think breathing should be easy since I do it a lot, trust me. One time I tried to count how many times I did it in one day but it was too many.

It's elitist ♥♥♥♥ like the OP's post that is a big part of the problem in the forum. Why can't you update lovers understand that it's just a game that some people play to relax, that there's absolutely nothing wrong with that and they have just as much a right to play it in their preferred play style as you do?

Although they are able to recover better under the new system they are never actually able to make any serious progress forward once they get into the higher levels because their main source of resource protection is now gone. I don't see a reasonable path forward for the casual players once upgrades cost in excess of 5 million gold/elixer or 60K DE. They don't play enough to accumulate resources at a reasonable rate to make TH9 upgrades. Even the top upgrades of TH8 are going to be difficult.

Of course you could argue (and I would agree with you) that the casual player needs to up their commitment if they want to play with the best troops or build the best defenses the game has to offer. No one is forced to pay any money to progress, all you have to do is put in the time. This is what I believe Supercell wanted, to reward the active players more than those skating by doing the bare minimum.
Well said. I didn't think about that.
I'm not a casual (nor an addict) so I might have been wrong.

That's the irony of it all!

Its a game...escapism. Relaxation! Who wants to beat themselves up in their relaxation time.
We all have struggles in life, the game was balanced prior to upgrade.
    You wanted a challenge...do War!
you wanted easy...you could farm and use the th to get a shield (if you chose to).
Post update the matchmaking is tedious. The game has become a chore....as one of my clan said 'I already have two jobs, certainly don't want another one.'
I'm only playing very occasionally now, playing other games which I've not done a lot of in the last 2 years...so the update has done me a favour in many ways.
    Vive la Resistance!

Got to add in the (my opinion) arrogance of Jonas's "the game was not being played as intended" and it is easy to see why there exists so many rifts between the clashers.

Lol, it actually makes me angry how hypocritical Jonas is for not fixing this issue early on... so clash got more successful and profitable than intended as the result.

in war everyone says th 10 is unbalanced because u can't 3 star it easy. So there fore it's broken? No it works well, it's a challenge. All the th below are broken for the reason a monkey can 3 star them. I blame a very well known war you tuber for this mentality.
So it's the same in farming, players want it easy. I like the challenge. I hope you can take my word for this, that farming is fine, nothing wrong with it. It's better in some ways due to when you find a dead base it is loaded up so high with loot, you think it's xmas again.
Come on let's scrap the bad you tubers and start again this year with a new look at the game.

    clash on
It's too easy for me to check my mail so I dropped some rusty nails in the driveway, put barb wire on the door, and got a guard dog that bites me so it's s challenge.

It's not the first game to build a player base on a happy little accident and then take it away, and it certainly won't be the last. In a way it's done by design, they just let it go on way past the date they should have.

True, lol but it still bothers me that they can afford to all but ignore the user base that built their game up and then throw vast resources into advertising to get new users. It is too much like my cable company; I've been a customer for years yet new subscribers get a better price.... it's a prevalent business practice, but it is still garbage that society should never accept..

Exactly it wasn't a problem when coc popularity was climbing and they were growing the fan base. Now that they've reached the top and leveled off its an issue and penalties are brought that can only be worked around by spending $$$$. Shows devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their customers enjoyment or happiness just the almighty dollar.

My only complaint has always been if they wanted this to be how the game was they should have done it WAY sooner. They've known about th snipes etc for years and let players get used to it and new players join that "way of playing." It's wrong to change it that much after having so many people join and spend money on that "way of playing."

I totally get why some people feel they deserve a refund on money spent.
