Yes but you're still not answering the question. Either way, collectors are the same, the troops are the same. Why is it that to do the exact same thing a different composition suddenly became more efficient?

And trophies became less important when they changed matchmaking a couple updates ago, this update hasn't done anything significant to change their worth. Last I checked in 1 hour you barely dropped trophies at all anyway.

It didn't increase in absolute efficiency. It went up in relative efficiency because of the nerf to other types of farming, enough so that this specific brand of farming is worth naming.

Loot bonus is inconsequential in lower leagues, and since 50% gives you 90% of what it used to, it's like 1k gold down there that you're missing out on.

Lol dunno. I personally only have used Barch when pushing, got to Champ 2 barching in FE

Loot bonus changes affect more the higher league players (Crystal+), those are the ones that are affected by it.

About the screenshots, I usually tend to stay between 1000 and 900 trophies.

See my post above. Milking is a type of farming that is now more attractive. We do not claim that milking and farming are two different things, but rather that milking is a subset of farming. Fewer people milked before this update, so it wasn't given a short name for easy reference. Now it has a name. Milking gives a clear picture of what the player is doing, while farming brings to mind the formerly common practice of barching that used to be more efficient.

Goblins got a small buff. They now target th and cc.

As someone who used barch for all of 2013, I assume it comes down to trophies. Goblin type armies lose trophies. People get dropped on a lot and rise up. With sniping you never had this problem, so you could hold steady and use (barch) a more Swiss Army knife kind of raid.

It also comes down to being lazy. I assume most people make the same army every raid that works. Goblins might profit more, but not enough more to switch. However, since goblins drop you in trophies easier, it has become more preferred.

So why were people using barch if it's so inefficient then?

Because they were unaware about strategy "sniping collectors". They were enjoying their other strategies such as barching, BAMing, Gibarching etc. Many were barching in higher leagues. Th at corner of a base, was good incentive. "Sniping collectors", if not better, then it was no less than other strategies.

Post update, kaboom !!! Their strategies, kaboom !!!!

They needed new thing, and learned about "sniping collectors". To them it is fresh/new strategy, right off the oven.
