Pushing to Champs

Greetings everyone, I'm currently a Townhall 9 attempting to push to champions League while the 1 gem boost is in effect. I've been running into some issues now that I'm at the mid 2900 range. I find myself getting decimated on defense and all my hard work trying to build up my trophy count feels as if it's for nothing. So I've come to the conclusion it's my current base layout.

A bit of info regarding my base: I currently have roughly half of my walls going to level 9. Mainly all defenses are maxed. Only things not maxed would be my air sweepers and a couple of traps.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I can post logs and pictures in game if needed.

I made it to champs this morning. Had a a few 4 or 5 hour pushing sessions during the holidays which makes it easier. if you can make 100 trophies before being attacked You're guarenteed to be up by at least 40 after a defence. all about time management, use the new shield and village guard to help you and make the 3 attacks you can get with a shield count then stay online and play longer sessions. P.s i went from gold 2 to champs between 23rd december and today just using superqueen. Found clashing with matty video to be a good starters guide to superqueen. almost always guarented trophoes and easy loot too.

A base isn't going to get you up there. You gotta just raid to gain more than you lose. Superqueen, as mentioned, is a pretty easy way to get 50%+ on any TH9 if you have a decent queen. Take advantage of the last of the 1 gem boosts and get up there with some long playing sessions over the next several days.

These base designs are to complement the process of pushing; not intended as the singular solution. As always, good attacking yielding trophies is complemented by a good defensive win that also yields trophies.

I had a friend who just made it as a TH8.5 with lvl5 queen, he was just very active and attacked for more cups than he lost. Even if you get 3 stared, you can still even out or gain by attacking 2-3 times for 2 stars. Good luck on push!

I'm also pushing trophies to my accounts and i think being able to attack 4-5 times before depending would get you much further.. Goodluck!
