The root of the problem is the offens/defense mismatch starting at th9. You just cant safely fight opponents of your th level with a fast army. As a high th10 I can only raid max th9s with my 25 minute GiBarch army using only one jump/earthquake and maybe a rage if needed. The king is down 1 of 4 raids so you only have the queen. Every time I try a th10 with multis there is a 70+ percent chance I will not get both the de and the th.
What we need is not stopping trophy dropping. Boom beach has that system and it is completely broken as nobody attacks if he cant get rid of the cups. What we need is making faster farming armies possible in the 30-40 minute range. Give another build time reduction to spells from 30 to 20 timutes for rage/freeze and 15 to 10 minutes for quake. Plus reduce the training time of wizards to 4 minutes and valk cost from 70/100/130/160 to 70/80/90/100. Plus keep the regeneration time of the king at constant 30 minutes as you dump them every raid. I tried giant/wizard plus valks in champion with quake and rage/freeze. It works well, but 1+ hour is just too long (king takes 1h30min).
If the trophy dropping continues, this will only make things better, because all that fighting in the sub 1000 range produces a lot of trophies pushing the average trophy count plus if more high players push down, it will get easier to stay in the higher leagues.
