Drops won't stop while people are trying to farm down low. Player a drops trophies on player b, so player b has to drop them on player c and so on... It's a never ending circle.
however, just be happy, they aren't hitting you with something big and stealing all your loot, and you can go drop those trophies on someone else...

What are you a max TH9? early TH 10?
What are you doing in Gold?
Anyhow the dropping will stop after the next update when Supercell hopefully starts enacting penalties for losing attacks (dropping).
