It won't work like that. We have already a working example. Matchmaking in champ+ and below it. Above townhall level is ignored and below it townhall level is ignored. It would be made same as that if supercell wants to make game funny for everyone.....

I think the main problem for this modifications is if players in the same clan and enjoing playing together but some are like the new rules while others prefer the old one ...
This is IMO the main disadvantage

With the new rules pushers are suffering also ,, in cloud if you heard about that ..
The update have some haters with pushers also not only for farmmer
