It seems the main complaint is loot or some derivation with loot essentially at the core (i.e. slow game progress). Would a simple half way be to keep the bonus % based but with an override that getting the th is an automatic 100% of bonus (still just 1* of course and no shield). This could add some much needed loot (anything is better) and meet SCs intended game play standard. Just a thought. Trying to pose realistic ideas so SC actually does something.
