I was a GiBarcher before the update, and that worked extremely well for me. I wasn't a fan of Barch/BAM, until now.
I'm not going to tell you that I find 400/400/4 collector bases every 2 nexts in Titans league as a TH 5.5, but I will tell you I'm doubling-tripling my investment every raid, with the rare whale. (EXTREMELY RARE)
My army takes 14m to train. 40 barch in each barracks, 20 minions is what I use.
My log is filled with raids from the 25k/50k/120 - 75k/100k/500 range. (I usually go for elixir more)
Its not great, but its not bad. It allows for causal progression, and engaging gameplay.
Try it out! Even better, try it boosted. The trick is to not use your full army all the time, and don't surf the clouds for hours. You're only boring yourself!
