LOL, yep
Sometimes I think I get called a "fanboy" specifically BECAUSE I'm trying to be helpful. Many people don't want assistance, they want their deeply held beliefs to be reaffirmed, and anything that runs counter to that is dismissed and ridiculed.
People also mistakenly make the assumption that I love everything about the update simply because I fall into the more "pro-update" camp and tend to defend it on the forums. I will admit, I love that TH sniping has been removed, it makes the game far more engaging and entertaining (the game was getting very stale with TH sniping, it was "farmville" with a CoC facade). That being said, I'm not a big fan of how much more difficult this made obtaining and retaining loot for people, especially those at an early TH level development stage. I'm not personally having too much trouble, but I understand that others are.
So while I like the concepts and long-term view of the update overall, and agree with the developers that these changes can eventually make for a better game, I recognize that Supercell is going to have to tweak and adjust economic factors to help with progression for many. But I don't want these tweaks to be done in a rash, haphazard kind of way. I'd rather they take a month or so (we're 3 weeks in to the update today) to collect their data, study player activity and behavior, consider many solutions, and carefully and considerately implement them. I don't want the fix to be FAST, I want the fix to be CORRECT.
Maybe it's the engineer in me who prefers correct solutions to fast ones, and the adult in me who has the patience to let it play out...
