they raised available loot so your 300,000 is incorrect. I think it is now 350000 based on what's been looted off of me. Loot penalty isn't squat.

the percentage one can steal was upped, but the total cap was not. It's still 300k for a TH8, 350k for a TH9, 400k for a TH10, 450k for a TH11. You just hit the loot cap faster because the percentage was upped (i.e., it used to be almost 3 million necessary to be a loot-capped TH9, now it's 2.5million).

Also, the loot penalties were increased. One used to be able to steal 90% from one TH level below yours, now it's only 80%. Meaning a TH9 can steal NO MORE than 240k from the storages of a TH8 (it used to be 270k)

and I would prefer if we were only offered our th level to loot upon. I cannot find th8s and am offered mostly th9/10 and 11s. I'm a mid th8. It's not defending if you don't stand a chance against the attacker. Isn't that hat hat they wanted attacking AND defending?

If you're a mid TH8, you should be finding mostly TH8's in your matchmaking. I, as a TH9, see almost all TH9's (with the occasional 8 and 10, sometimes even an 11 but never a 7).

If you're not seeing any 8's in your matchmaking, you may be in too high a league for your TH level (in that case, grats to you ) and moving down a bit might bring more targets into the fold.

Either you did everything you could and we can't help you and this gripe is legit or there's something that can be changed and we can offer advice. Also if you're collectors are boosted it's going to make available loot to be taken look and be way higher than normal.

How silly is it to say adapt!

His base is not the issue, it is simply the game mechanics. Which game punishes a defender with multiple attacks, re arm costs, loss of CC troops from the initial battle and hours of hero regen time. Surely after 1 successfully defense there should be a reward/compromise. Why not allow the CC troops to remain or heroes to be alive again.

Have you seen his base? Or his defence log? If he's complaining the first step is to give him advice. Other people don't have problems but the OP does, so naturally the OP must be doing something different. On what basis are you saying his base isnt the problem? Are you also losing 700k a night? Why don't you post your defence log and base so we can see?

since when is adapting silly? Some might say.... scratch that, EVERYONE would say that adapting to one's circumstances is the wise and intelligent thing to do.

The OP is having a problem that can easily be remedied by a few simple actions. For weeks now people around here have been telling those complaining of his problems those solutions, yet rarely do the people having trouble take it upon themselves to listen and implement them. They refuse to adapt or take advice, and then continue whining about the same old problems.

So while waynoo's post of "stop crying and adapt" is crass, callous, and harshly worded, it's likely because it get's very old to hash, and rehash, the same old solutions to this same old problem while getting completely ignored. I'm not a fan of telling people to "adapt or quit," because it just starts a flame war, I'm just stating the reason why I feel many are resorting to these one-liner responses...

If you're planning to literally max everything as a th8, you'd either want to do that faster or move up to th9. Even pre update a lot of TH8s gets slammed by th9s. It hasn't changed at all.

Lol plus a th9 only doing less than 30% on your th8 for that much little loot loss per raid? (in 700k gold in 10 raids is 70k gold per raid)

Theres no reason to believe that could legitimately happen so easily.

Yeah lets see how you adapt when i steal your loot and leave it at 27-29% and no shield..the next time you log in,You will find out that another 9 attack has been conducted.

And regarding tips for TH8's, first, take them with a grain of salt because I haven't BEEN a TH8 in the new update and so I'm unfamiliar with what leagues and base layouts are really working for other 8's. But in general, moving up in league tends to stop the overnight nickel and dime-ing to death. In higher leagues, people care about WINNING the fight far more than they do in silver/bronze, they're not there to milk your collectors, etc. This doesn't entirely prevent it from happening (I've encountered ONE <29% attack that got appreciable resources since the update as a TH9 in Masters), but it certainly minimizes it. Again, as I am not an 8, I don't know exactly which league one should settle in to.

Base design also helps. As a TH8 you only have 3 storages of each, so try to bury them in your base with roughly 30% of your other stuff in front of them as fodder (this is done far more easily with 3 storages than 4, I don't have 120% of 'stuff' to put in front of all 4 storages). If they get in there and take down a storage or two, make sure they had to clear enough collectors, camps, barracks, builder huts, and defenses to get to 30% destruction. Personally, I've found that spreading out my base a bit helps in this regard and forces them to build a WIDE funnel to get to my core. Wide funnel = lots of buildings = >30% destruction.

If you're truly curious, start a new thread asking about TH8 base design and tips on the forum so that other successful 8's can come in and offer advice. It'll likely be buried to page 5 within minutes in favor of more "I'm quitting" posts, armchair economy posts, and debates over whether 'fresh spawns' are more likely to be pro/anti update, but it can't hurt. I'll even try and bump it for ya...

If you could post a pic of your base and defense log, that would also explain a lot.

It very well could be a genuine case of very bad luck. On the flipside, you could be holding tons of loot, but with a terrible base.

You're a kid with problems, I have a th8-9 base and both of them loses around 50-150K loot and ends up with shield everytime so i don't know whats wrong with you or your base unless you have a ♥♥♥♥ty base or premature etc..... or wait, you're just lying because you cant TH snipe anymore, i hear cries......
