OP a few things you can try. I know you can't defend against everyone. But my theory has always been that while you can never build a base that's unbeatable, you can cause more people to hit Next. That in itself is almost as good as the strongest base.

The fact that you had 700k up for grabs means you were holding onto way too much loot. Dump some on walls or something that doesn't cost so much. A base with little loot isn't a target. Oh I know you are going to scream that you have to save up for something big. But right now may just not be the best time. Like I tell my kids when they grumble about what's on their dinner plate, I am not saying you have to eat green beans every meal the rest of your life. Just this meal.

Second while searching for a loot raid you will see a base that's ripe with loot but it looks like a confusing mess to attck. You press Next and say not worth the trouble. Next time take a screen pic and copy that base. It's worth a try.

During times like these it's best to keep your head down low and let everyone pass you by for another target.

It's pretty simple, you have to climb leagues

I know (or im pretty certain) you will likely say you don't want to, why should you have to etc etc....but I'm sure you want to finally get a shield when defending and not lose 700k over night

Figure out which one you 'don't want' to do more and make your choice from there

*edit* keep in mind btw that your loss is someone else's gain...and I imagine those players wernt the rich ones you talk about in your OP. You just don't see the other 10 attackers posting threads of - wow, check out this easy loot I got for a cheap army

People generally have to make a very determined effort to get loot from you with less than 30% damage.
Most of those cases can be solved by more junk in the way, or a higher league where you're going to get hit harder, but only once.

If an unwanted result is happening multiple times, there is usually something you can do about it.

Ever taken on a base that's too strong and failed? Most likely yes. Do you immediately do it again? NO! See, everyone learns and adapts.

If a th9 pwns you and they take your loot its guaranteed shield or you have a bad base.Every time i get pwned i get a shield,or if no shield=no loot lost

His base is not the issue, it is simply the game mechanics. Which game punishes a defender with multiple attacks, re arm costs, loss of CC troops from the initial battle and hours of hero regen time. Surely after 1 successfully defense there should be a reward/compromise. Why not allow the CC troops to remain or heroes to be alive again.

I agree that this is a sill mechanic but it isn't something that has just been magically put into the game in the latest update.

Prior to this people could fail a raid on your base, take loot, cause you to have much higher rearming costs and still not give you a shield.

The fact that the OP lost 70k per raid of gold does imply however, that their base is not of a good design and that the league they are in is one where players are willing to grab a minimal amount of loot and lose a few cups. A change of base layout or league might be the a good option for the OP'er.

since when is adapting silly? Some might say.... scratch that, EVERYONE would say that adapting to one's circumstances is the wise and intelligent thing to do.

The OP is having a problem that can easily be remedied by a few simple actions. For weeks now people around here have been telling those complaining of his problems those solutions, yet rarely do the people having trouble take it upon themselves to listen and implement them. They refuse to adapt or take advice, and then continue whining about the same old problems.

So while waynoo's post of "stop crying and adapt" is crass, callous, and harshly worded, it's likely because it get's very old to hash, and rehash, the same old solutions to this same old problem while getting completely ignored. I'm not a fan of telling people to "adapt or quit," because it just starts a flame war, I'm just stating the reason why I feel many are resorting to these one-liner responses...

Nothing really will, but then again no TH9 base can stop a 10 and no 7 can stop an 8!

In all of those cases though, unless you are being 29% trolled consistently (I concede there is an exceedingly small portion of the community that does this) then you are going to get at least a 12 hour shield, if not a 14 or 16 hour one, and they will only take a maximum of 300k (x loot penalty) from your storages + TH.

they raised available loot so your 300,000 is incorrect. I think it is now 350000 based on what's been looted off of me. Loot penalty isn't squat.

and I would prefer if we were only offered our th level to loot upon. I cannot find th8s and am offered mostly th9/10 and 11s. I'm a mid th8. It's not defending if you don't stand a chance against the attacker. Isn't that hat hat they wanted attacking AND defending?

What's the point of good defenses when holding an attacker to less than 30% damage still allows them to loot your base time and time again while you sleep? This game is now so unbalanced and unfair that no one will want to play it much longer. Super Cell has killed the goose laying the golden eggs by pandering to the rich players with unlimited gems to spend and making it impossible for the everyday player to accumulate loot to advance. Winning matches is meaningless. What's the point. While you can, drop the 12 hour shield requirement to 20 percent. PLEASE!! That will help this situation a LOT!!

You really, really need to tell people which league you are in, before complaining..

I imagine that you are another nearly maxed TH10 lurking around in bronze or silver, God knows that the forum has had enough of complaints from people like that.

You need to be in a league, where you can hit people around your own level .. and where people around your own level can hit you .. full attacks all the way or no attacks at all.
