A key issue to remember is that this Dec2015 update was about three months late. Originally hinted to arriving in late September, then October, November and finally in first week of December. This suggests the company is coming apart.

Then three weeks of "sneak peeks" set our expectations very high. This suggests the company cannot communicate or manage its business very well.

And the final product execution was poor.

    1. Serious bugs in simple features like PBT,
    2. very poor communication on new features
    3. poor gameplay - full attack composition depletes player resources
    4. untested gameplay - e.g. attack profit, poor tuning on win bonus, vast gaps in different levels.
    5. Over-large rewards for paid players e.g. L3 witches are a nice reward when you are spending money, and notice the number of players in Titan leagues with level 20 Wardens (not possible without gems in just 3 weeks).

But most of all its the lack of communication from Supercell. It really is quite insulting to hear nothing.

Now, it may be that League reset on the 1st Jan will change the gameplay. Once the player history is wiped, the AI might be tuned to differently. But I doubt it.

Supercell have convinced me that I'm not their customer.

Rather than complain, I've been filling in my time with a different game in the same style called DomiNation. Most enjoyable, I hope to see you there.

    Farewell.

PS: I will hit my collectors every now and then, maybe even upgrades a few walls out of habit. But gameplay isn't worth my time.
    Here here.

    3) You could say they been communicating since the beginning, but non of it is relevant to the questions people have been asking.

    4) Relevant communication, they could say their releasing a New Years special decoration and you'd count it as communication, it fails to address the community questions and concern.

It all comes down to relevant communication, I've never hated an entire update till this one, Supercell has failed to communicate other then a few select topics, why not a Q&A thread? They haven't really communicated on any large topics other then PBT, I can't speak for others but I'm not looking for Supercell to come talk to me face to face on video call, what I'm asking is for them to come out and do a Q&A session or panel.

P.S, when I said respond I was talking about the one on page 7 not the one you quoted.
    1) it is archived, right there.

    2) still reaching a certain audience who needed to here that

    3) they have

    4) relavent entirely.

Yes I'll call it one in million.the irony of you making a point about word "million" to my reply about way they communicated is "best communication" is actually sad
I've been active in these forums pretty much every day since 2013. What's your point?

No one. If you aren't willing to accept you, then you are misinformed. Simple as.

Please go back and read my first post and the quote again, maybe it'll help you. Since you ignored everything I said and tried to focus on a word that is a metaphor and tried to call it ♥♥ in subtle way. I then explained you why I used the term million as there were threads literally going to second page of forum before few minutes at peak hours.

If you can't even understand the point even after this, I'm sorry. I can explain any better than this. If you are so bent on not seeing what you don't want to see, I can't help

There are 2,469 players currently viewing this CoC forum. I can't even count more than 200 complaining threads

Its been awhile since I thought about how I felt before Clashcon. I was really excited that week before. Talked a lot on chat, Facebook, and in person about what we thought might happen. Isn't it interesting that people actually talk in person about this game? With people in their clans? Anyway, we were guessing and hoping for different things. Excited about the new innovative changes that were to come. And why? Because we loved this game. And who is we? The people I personally talk to about this game. Not a subgroup of forum clashers. Anyway, we knew something exciting was going to happen, it was going to be streamed. I personally invisioned an interactive set of forum trainings that we could personally attend as a "guest". That's right, forums exist outside of this forum. Not trainings on how to be on this forum. Anyway, we thought there would be something for everyone. The thing we loved about clash. We threw a clashcon party at 4:00 in the morning to be a part of it. We believed it would be special, like the game we loved. We had apps (appetizers) and beers and secured a war to go along with it. It was more exciting then opening week of college football, until it actually happened.

We all had invisioned what we thought clashcon would be. I don't think we were duped, or led down the garden path. Clashcon was what it was. Since clashcon and the resulting disappointment. And yes, it was disappointing, and it is not our fault that we were disappointed. Nor is it the fault of supercell. People need to quit blaming others for their feelings of disappointment. Anyway, since clashcon and the resulting disappointment, my clan mates have gotten less excited week by week by week. There still are no innovative changes, there is nothing realistically special in store for the game we love. There are no discussions of "app parties" or war parties or organizing efforts. And we all don't really talk about how we felt before clashcon.

i believe that supercell is smart, and that there is more to all of the changes that have occurred since clashcon. They are keeping their mouths shut because maybe they don't want to have a repeat of this 3 month plus mess. I think that they want to go back to before clashcon, but they don't know how to do it while keeping what they have.

I noticed that that there is still hope out there. People are starting to talk about what might happen with the New Years flipping of the switch. Just a reminder, the biggest issue that was going on in August was the desire to return "zapping" lol. There is no call to action in this writing...just reminiscing.

You're replying and making statements like you have inside knowledge of SC, why are you constantly t replying to comments, have you appointed yourself unofficial spokes person for SC?

    1) Then stop bringing it up when people ask for Supercell communication, they want other topics addressed and SC has yet to do it.

    2) Not relevant to game play changes, also Supercell isn't the most trustworthy company, remember their the same company that said it was technical issues stopping them from implementing heroes in war.

    3) They've said their looking into problems, they fixed PBT which shouldn't have been a problem in the first place, they've had 5 post there, 1 is not about game play and 3.5 is about PBT and bug fixes addressing the same topic, .5 of the post was about balance and loot which is extremely vague or a statement to buy them more time, it's barely and I mean barely communicating on issues the community are concerned with.

4)Not relevant to the community concern, in context it talks about PBT but it could mean anything which is useless to us because you and I both know that they could be talking about Gob campaign or some new wizard tower texture detail.

I'm about done with this conversation, none of their "communication" is really relevant anymore, their not saying what I want to hear because they aren't, I want to know what's their stance on balance, loot, war balance, etc not the we're looking into it which is vague and could mean a multitude of different things.

Edit. A simple Q&A thread can do it, simple yes no to questions or concerns stickied to the front page, takes 30 minutes of some Supercell staffs time.

That's one way of putting it. Another way is the rabid kids on the forum want answers that don't exist, and won't have it any other way than their way.

I asked someone to give an example of what they should say and it was full of holes.

The only two types of problems using this "transparency" communication method :
    - listing to few problems/troubles would create a lot of new threads enumerating troubles not listed. And of course people angry that SC is REALLY not listening ...
    - listing a specific problem/trouble "commits" SC to find a solution on it : means that they need to find solution.

Oh, and another positive advantage of doing this : by being transparent, people would stop thinking SC has done the update only for money ... it would clearly show a positive move from SC to the community.
They released several pages of info in the anounceements which you clearly haven't read.
