The update sucks period. The entire update. They changed way too much at once..

They give us level 3 witches...then they nerf them back to what they were at level 2...

they force PBT on us, then modify it due to the extraordinary number of complaints and its still a giant pain in the butt and is actually hindering us from playing when we want to play.

If you don't get a shield, they kick you again, and again, and again before resetting the moronic PBT timer.

They have essentially punished players with great bases and I predicted this would be the case a week or 2 before the update and was 100% accurate in my assessment then and am still 100% accurate with it today. I will give you a short version:

Players will lose interest and play less. Eventually they will stop playing, less clans will be able to war, the problem will compound and they will lose a ton of loyal players. Those loyal players will find another game and COC will be a thing of the past...just like World of Warcraft.

Here's the part where they'll claim we account for an inconsequential percentage of the player base. At this point, it's just a matter of thread-bumping, Apollo. I suggest you find your favorites, keep em popping up on the first pages....and cross your fingers.

I was furious at the nonsense spewing out of Smolson's mouth, so I HAD to share it with the community, I have done that, so I'm content. I would like to think that we have adequately communicated our concerns for the future of CoC and (imo) have likely convinced most of them we are completely justified in our position. However, pride will not allow them to admit it. They may not agree with us, but they know we deserve to be outraged (whether they say it or not). I just hope the likely fixes come soon.

I was getting a temporary high off of revenged (deluding myself into believing that everyone I hit was an active player trying to adapt), so I was essentially "beating the 💩" out of people like Ana, Rap-whatever and the like lol -quite a stress relieving fantasy. But, even that, has lost it's luster. You white knights and trolls have won. I concede defeat. You can have your forums back. Like this iteration of CoC, I want nothing to do with you.

I posted another thread on this subject, I think (mighta been a post within a thread, I dunno).

It was something to the effect of "Adaptation Vs Evolution." I think the real reason your pleas for "adapting" are falling on deaf ears is because of this seemingly insignificant distinction.

K, back on topic....it's really easy to portray "you and yours" as the "calm, sensible, easy-going" types when everything is going your way. I would be pretty surprised if I went back in time, peeked at your attack log and discovered that you had adopted a completely different style of play from the one you currently employ (you're not feeling the drought)

Basically, without flat out saying it and I apologize for the implication...but I find it completely hypocritical that you all can't be bothered enough to step down off your high horses and try to see things from the "spoiled child's" perspective.

Because, in all honesty, what damage were "we" doing to your game? How did our play style impede you in any way? How did that iteration of the game diminish your experience in any way? Why, in gods name, do you not give the slightest �� about people in your community that did nothing to warrant your indifference.

Every farmer that visits the forums is pretty much guaranteed to have had his th outside, and every farmer would have sniped ths for the free loot bonus if they were above 2000 cups. I have seen the ideas of all in this thread, and both sides have some valid ideas.

However, theat wont matter to you, because you are closed minded, by the looks of it, thinking that one side's comments are the only ones that have good points.

Oh well. It's the people that take parts from both sides, that eventually get things done right.

You are just whining about the removal, another "Revert or I'll quit" type, instead of the type to discuss and see about getting things worked out that will benefit all.

As sarcasm is often lost on the unintelligible, I'll expound on that for you. These forums are the only thing you ever had. You don't account for a staunt majority of the player base. And I, now, anxiously await the death of this game or the changes that will ensue.

Both will be equally satisfying outcomes, but rest assured, I'll come back to say I told you so. We all will.

The thing about witches isn't true. Witches are a th11 troop. Th11 defences one shot pre-update skels anyway. So the only difference they would feel is the impact with the warden.

The rest of your post has merit though, there's a lot of work that needs to be done on the changes to make them more convenient. I feel that your post exaggerates some of your concerns but we've already argued about that in your thread so I'm not gonna go there.

Also I think they had to make all the changes together, it's a package, and if they tried to bring it in slowly we couldn't see the interdependency of the various aspects and it wouldn't come together properly.
