In TH8 I'm always doing govalo/govaho war attacks, very much effective. The visual of attacking valks is not very interesting like other troops, they look too tiny and waste time trying to get between two buildings to do splash damage, but they work fine. I like valks.
OP,
High-end Valk attacks are among the most devastating in the game. When I was a th9, if I saw any way to wreck a base with valks, I would use it... Valks are a very underutilized and undervalued troop, and that's good as SC have never nerfed them like they have other troops.
Take it from a former TH9 three-star specialist. Upgrade them, search YouTube on how to use them... You will be glad you did.
I still throw in 4-5 in each th10 attack...

I love valkiries, level 3+ are great.
It use dark elixir, it saves me from stall (from the elixir point of view) when i just became TH10 , cause it lowered the elixir price of my farming army.
Fee monthes ago, my clan had a war versus a clan wich use max valkiries in big number(18+) in their attaque. it was pretty funny!
OP is just trying to find every little thing to complain about within the game.
To OP, good players use Valks. As already said in this thread, there are various ways you can use them.
Make them cheaper.......
I find valkyries to be situational. If the base has a lot of buildings clumped together in large spaces, they are fabulous. They can attack multiple defenses and tear them up quickly.
If you need them to go through walls, or attack buildings that are spread out, they aren't that great.
Paired with earthquake and/or jump spells, they can do a lot of damage.
