I cannot answer that I am afraid. I agree that it would be most beneficial at this time but I am not sure it would make much of a difference.
I have seen it in other games forums where members of staff do comment on topics but then they get flamed because they are answering the 'wrong' topics or the answers they give aren't those that people want to hear.
Your analogy is irrelevant, your understanding of what a forum is is also flawed, so your conclusion is wrong. When 91% (no idea where this is from) all complain about one thing, one replay is good enough. Most complaints were about shielding or loot, both were mentioned.
About the first part:
When a company decides to release a game at Christmas time - which is better for business since more people play then - they have to take responsibility for it, but that only applies to the company's staff.
And about the moderators' point:
I said it is most probably not related. I was just pointing out an observation and thought maybe you guys could somehow relate them and analyze the connection.

When you 'might be wrong' at least check, as I said, its not difficult to do.
Someone else did make a thread (although a sticky would have been better), but it was still drowned out. Why? Because evidently people don't care! So why should they make a sticky?
ive said it in other threads, but why do you believe that they don't care? just because they havent said it out loud. with every update, they monitor player statistics. there hasnt been enough time/data to make any major conclusions. I wouldn't expect anything short of generic responses within the first month.
Here's the link to the 91% statistic:

If there is a reply to such a gargantuan cause, tens of thousands of people shouldn't dig it up, there should be a clear sticky on it, so it would prevent the forums from being "spammed" with complaints.
"Friends are like wetting your pants. Everyone sees it, but only you feel the warmth"
They've responded numerous times on this very forum. People have even made threads compiling those responses. Choosing to ignore their responses doesn't mean they didn't happen.
