+1, it's ridiculous to say that supercell has any excuse due to the holiday. 1) they picked the timing for their update 2) they knew what kind of reaction the update would bring and 3) even if they didn't, the reaction it has caused would warrant some acknowledgment from someone at SC.

The clear message is that the people who are upset have already been factored into the calculations for the update. Yeah they won't ever see any gem money from any of us again but they obviously feel that is worth the risk compared to the gem money they'll take in from current th7 and 8 members once they make it to th9+.

How difficult is it to understand?

This game was so incredibly unique in that it offered a huge variety of game style. Pretty much any type of gamer was welcomed and could enjoy the game and gaming community.

This unasked for change, and the glaring silence from Supercell, spell out only one thing. $ over the game we all have come to love. It's saddening.

A statement like that would be jumped on from a lot of forum members here who would try to disprove the statement with more emotive arguments.

The thing is, when you started this game, you didn't rely on the game developers statements to get you started and to keep you going, why does that have to change with this update?

Well youtubers have a responsibility to keep getting those views so whatever clickbait marketing they can get off this update they will use it. So of course they will produce videos to feed off whatever is the currently trending the most.

I guess I come from a different perspective, I don't watch the youtubers or trawl the forums for comments from developers/other players to help me determine whether continuing this game is a good thing for me.

The process for me is as simple, if playing the game no longer provides enjoyment then I stop playing. I don't need anyone to confirm anything that this is no longer enjoyable for me.
