I actually like this update a lot more than I thought. Before I got into it I heard about it through the forums. The new shield mechanic makes pushing to champs much easier. I use armies that can take over anywhere from 40 minutes to over an hour and during that time I'm not losing trophies waiting for my army to build and I'm a preemie TH9. I never liked to barch personally. It's not fun to me.

Going to higher leagues is what I have found that works for me. Elixir is only good because the league bonus. It's possible to get up to 300k profit if you're using dark troops. Not the case with me because I usually giwipe. Now with that army it's easy to get 1.5k to 2.5k of DE. Someone explained on a different thread that's can be difficult to farm all 3 resources at the same time.

Can't just tell someone to adapt to a way they don't want to play the game if it's a way they've played for 2 years.

When you resort to caps, profanity, and calling people a bunch of pansies, it does surprisingly create the impression of an angry rant.

It then detracts from your point, as it can be dismissed as an angry rant, in the same way as you dismiss those complaining about the update as a whiny rant.

The only reason I have bothered to comment here, is sadly, you're also detracting from MY points as well.

When someone with a wealth of forum and game experience such as myself, or sneaky in his thread try to tell people there are indeed ways to progress (without massive playtime, gem use, and at a reasonable rate), it's dismissive rants like yours those opposed to these pearls of wisdom can point to. Claiming all in favour, or at least reasonable tolerance of the update, are fanboys or trolls.
A wealth of forum and game experience. Ha, surely you are joking! Profanity? What world do you live in? Oh, that's right, a world where CAPS means something. Before commenting on the way people word their posts, check your own posting history. Oh, and while I'm giving some much needed advice, get a job and start contributing to society instead of gathering a wealth of forum and game experience. I've screenshotted this post so I have something to laugh about with the grandkids. You joke!

Since the update I have become a fresh TH10, after maxing TH9 (except a few hero levels). You say SC have made it "impossible to play without gems"???? I have 5 builders, 4 of which are busy, and the fifth is free to sink resources into walls. I have found that even though I do get smashed for loot, I am also seeing a pattern of gaining double the loot profit of what I lose when raiding under the protection of a shield. This is all while playing "casually". Stop whining and play the game. I'm not a so called SC fanboy, but I am certainly tired of reading these whining posts about how it is impossible to progress without buying gems and that the update is causing so much pain.
Really? I don't think so SIR. You don't talk like someone with such qualities

Haha. 44. 14? I must say you started rather young to have multiple grandchildren at 44.
Would have hoped you might have been able to advise your own children that starting so young might not be a great idea.

    Who sounds like the adult?

Yes, I haven't tried to claim I don't enjoy the occasional rant. But there's usually some kind of structured help in there too.

You sir, have indeed provided me with my chuckles for the day.

Who said I didn't work? It happens to be true as I'm on long term sick. Still played this game an awful lot while I was working 40-60 hours a week, and chasing my own now 4 children around.

Shockingly....have even managed to teach them to communicate in a more reasonable fashion than this alleged 44 year old before me, despite wasting my life away on this game.

    TH10s with 50+ hero levels, 9.5s with 40+, silent noobs<> needs you!

I didn't mean to imply that I had grandchildren, merely that I was saving it for the day I did, for it had provided me with such amusement. Oh, and my assumptions about work were correct, how astute of me.
